After I reinstalled the operating system and applications that had been wiped off the hard drive, I downloaded my backed up application data files, but had no idea how to get them back into the programs they belonged to. I needed to restore these files as quickly as possible for business reasons. I found Percworks in Angie's List on a Thursday and asked how soon he could help me. Although he was booked solid, he made time for me that Saturday and had me back in operation on Sunday. Bottom line: I will not only use Percworks again if needed, but highly recommend him to others. I'd use four words to describe Percworks -- HONEST, CONSCIENTIOUS, FAIR and CUSTOMER-ORIENTED.

I had been having consistent problems with one of my computers, a custom built tower running Windows XP with SP3. I was certain that it was a software problem and that I had caused it. I called one of the other firms on Angie's list, left voice mail, and followed up with email without getting any response. I called Robin on the 13th and left voice mail. He returned my call that afternoon and when we determined that my problem did not qualify as an emergency, scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. Robin called on Monday morning to confirm the time of the appointment, and when he found himself running late he called again to inform me of that fact and then showed up within half an hour of the original time. (He set the appointment for a specific time, not the telephone/cable company's between the hours of 8AM and 4PM nonsense.)
Before starting he discussed with me the nature of my problem, corrected that, found some other potential problems and corrected them, rearranged some program starts to speed up the starting times of my machine, at all times in a most professional manner and with a full discussion with me as to what he was doing and why. Looking at me he determined that I qualify as a and quot;Senior Citizenand quot; and insisted on charging me a Senior Discount rate even though I felt his original quote of an hourly rate was perfectly reasonable. On top of that, even though he was here working on the machine for close to two hours, he insisted on rounding the time to an hour and a half.
He is extremely professional and a very pleasant individual, and I will call him again anytime that I am having computer problems.I can and do recommend hime highly.

I had been contemplating getting a new computer, so I took this opportunity to ask for some recommendations. Robin answered my myriad of questions thoughtfully and clearly. He did not highly recommend one over the other but gave me pros and cons about the models I was most interested in. His soft spoken manner, careful listening and ability to help me understand the differences between models was sincerely appreciated.
This summer I hope to purchase my new computer and will be sure to call Robin to help me set it up. I just wish I had the time to take one of several non-credit classes he is teaching at Howard Community College this summer.

Computer would not boot.
Dropped off the comper over the weekend.
Early the following week, Robin diagnosed the problem as a dead motherboard.
Recommended that it would not be cost effective to repair/replave the motherboard.
Backed up the data on the hard drive on one of his removable drives. Loaned me the drive to get the data off.
Removed the drive from the computer.

Robin, the owner, was prompt and professional. He was knowledgeable and able to explain computer terminology in layman's terms. a week after the service, he followed up with a thank-you note and query to assess our satisfaction. We will certainly reocmmend him to anyone who asks about computer repair.

From the initial phone call to Robin, he was very polite and accomodating. He arrived on time and worked quietly and efficiently. When he gave me the bill for his service, I was puzzled that it was lower than expected. He had given me a senior discount without my requesting one. Since that was not included in the report I had read about his company, I was pleasantly surprised. I would not hesitate to call Robin in the future should there be a computer or related issue.

It went great. I had recently set up a computer my father had passed onto me and after downloading a virus protector, I couldn't get the computer to start up again. After emailing back and forth with Robin to see what his "over the phone" diagnoses was, he came over to take a look at it. It was a connection problem, which he quickly fixed, and he also noticed the computer loaded really slowly. He volunteered to take a look at it and see why it wasn't going faster. So he did and now it runs much faster. It was super simple and he was really nice and courteous. I wasn't actually there when he came because I was at work, but my sister (who was home) said he was very friendly and considerate.

We suspected our computer had crashed. Robin came out the next day to confirm this, and ordered a new computer for us at this visit, took out the hard drive which he took home and said he hoped to be able to retireve all of our data, which he was able to do. As soon as the new one arrived, we called, and he was able to come out the next day and install it for us. He was extremely efficient, very professional, very polite, and did a great job for us. We feel that we "struck gold" in finding Robin, and would highly recommend him. We will definitely be using his services again should the need arise.

He was absolutely great, performed with tremendous efficiency, was very friendly and possessed a very calm and centered manner, moving from one task to another with great ease. All the while he communicated with me as to what he was doing and what I might need to know (without being over-informative). I can't imagine anyone who could have done any better. I am very happy I selected him!

It went fine--and fast. (See above.) I've probably used a half dozen computer guys over the past 25 years. None has been as knowledgeable and personable as Robin. I've recommended him to a number of acquaintances and they've all been grateful for the recommendation.

I had installed an internet security product and the performance of my home computer had slowed considerably. Robin responded quickly to my request to have him assess my computer's performance and suggest ways to improve it. Robin arrived on time and was very professional. He fixed the problem quickly and made suggestions on other improvements to make.
