Main Street Oriental Rugs

I brought in 2 antique Persian rugs for cleaning that have been in my family for decades. Moojan's (the owner) expertise of the rugs and how to clean and care for them was exactly what I was looking for. I was very satisfied with the results and will be returning to him for future rug needs. He is the best in the DMV area.

Main Street Oriental Rugs did a great job cleaning our Persian rug. We accidentally dropped a wine glass and splashed red wine all along a white border. Main Street came to the rescue. They picked up the rug the same day that I called, moved a heavy coffee table to get to it, and returned it, clean, as promised 10 days later. They did a deep cleaning and I can honestly say the colors are more vibrant now than when we sent it out. The red spots have vanished and we are very pleased with the outcome. We could not be happier. Thank you so much.

They did a fantastic job. I don't know what they did, but the rug looks and feels new, even the part that got the most wear. It was ready when promised and they contacted me to let me know I could pick it up. I would definitely use their services again. I was also pleased that I could support a business on Main St. in Ellicott City, which was almost wiped out by flooding in the summer of 2016.

ok, for $250 I expected it would look at least OK, did not look great, but satisfactory. They took 3 weeks, longer than I expected, but no problem really.

All five look great! I've used Main Street Oriental Rugs in the past and have always been pleased with the results. They are knowledgeable about their craft and it makes you feel good when you learn something new and interesting about your own pieces!

I have used them for 25 or 30 years. I have always had a good experience with them. We had a flood in our area and he had the rugs off the floor and ours were fine. I would recommend them. I've always taken my rugs to them and have always been satisfied. He had them at another office when the flood hit.

The rugs were returned in like new condition looking the way they appeared when we bought them. all strains were gone or unnoticeable. they were returned within a reasonable amount of time despite an intervening flood that virtually destroyed downtown Ellicott City, damaged their store, and still prevents them opening it even today. They arranged an alternative pick up location. They were friendly, informative, courteous and helpful throughout the transaction despite extremely difficult circumstances. We will definitely be returning customers. Some additional notes: Deep cleaning was definitely worth the relatively small added cost. Bringing and picking up the carpets ourselves (they told us how to fold them so both fit in the back seat of our car was significantly cheaper than having the rugs picked up and delivered. Once before they replaced worn tassels on the oriental rug; they were indistinguishable from the original ones at the time we bought the rug.)

He came, he took them, he brought them back looking great.

Main Street Oriental Rugs came to the house and picked up the rugs and then returned them when clean.  They showed up at the agreed time and returned them within the period forecast.  I was pleased because these were rugs purchased many years ago, when I was working in a Middle Eastern country.  They were dyed with genuine vegetable dyes and handmade.  In the case of a couple of rugs made in Afghanistan, they are probably irreplaceable.  Main Street rugs treated them gently and with respect.  They also helped repair small wear spots and the fringes on two rugs.  I will use them again when I need the rest of my rugs cleaned.

We have been very pleased with everything involved in having our rugs cleaned and repaired by Main Street Oriental Rugs.  Mojan
Bagha was very knowledgeable about his craft, and was very pleasant to deal with.  He seems to care a great deal about the rugs he deals with, and took personal affront that a hand-crafted Persian runner had been crudely cut in half by a relative years ago.  We were advised that two other runners were machine-made and not worth the cleaning fee.  Our rugs were restored to colors we did not know that they had, and they look beautiful.  Ratty looking fringe was made to look much better even though we decided that we could not afford to have them appropriately repaired.  The pick-up and delivery were exactly as he had said, and each time he carefully re-positioned the room furniture.   The price was well worth it.  The office was easy to communicate with, and we highly recommend them.

Working with Mojan and his staff was a pleasure.  Once we chose two rugs we liked, they were delivered that evening.  Mojan allowed us ample time to make a decision as to which rug fit best in our space.  He is extremely knowledgeable about his inventory and answers any question posed to him.  I highly recommend his shop to anyone shopping for quality oriental rugs.
