They were careful about edging and blowing the driveway, and they seal coated the edges by hand to ensure that no seal coat went on our front walkway. There were a few spots where the seal coat didn't bind the first time, but they came out and fixed it, no problem. These guys are honest professionals.

I called and they came by to give an estimate promptly. They performed the work the same day. I had a few minor issues with some small cracks not getting filled and some minor spots that needed attention. They came out promptly, applied more sealer, and said they'd come again until I was happy. I was impressed by the responsiveness of their service and professional attitude. I'd hire them again.

Good job! George Branton Paving called back about a week after I left a message asking for a driveway sealcoating estimate. He said he could come out that day or arrange another time. We had him come that day. He arrived in about 20 minutes, gave us an estimate, and said he could do it right then. We said "Great!". The work was done neatly, and he was careful not to get sealcoating on the brick sidewalks or the garage door aprons that abut the driveway. Our driveway is about 2500 - 3000 SF. George Branton Paving repaved our driveway several years ago and we were happy to have them work here again.

initial job went fine but I have called numerous times to fix a part that came up and they have failed to respond. I was told it would be repaired and it has not been fixed after multiple months. So this is why I am now giving them a bad rating I was referring them to people but no longer!

Various sinking spots and cracks in driveway appeared the first year after install.   The prior 20+ year driveway did not have sinking in these areas.    Called multiple times, made appointments for the company to inspect/fix issues, they never showed up.
Considered reporting to the BBB.

They were very slow in responding to repair a sidewalk that they had damaged. They were very sorry that it had taken so long to respond. They asked me to give them a chance to make it up to me, and a gentleman came out to repair the sidewalk, worked incredibly hard, found some other issues with the foundation and the roof. He made a proposal to help me fix them, gave me an estimate, fixed the issues and bent over backwards to make sure I was happy. They really care and wanted to make sure I was happy.

Do not use this contractor!  They agreed to edge the driveway before beginning the work.  They didn't.  When they put in the new apron they pulled our flowers out and threw them on the lawn.  The apron does not slope toward the road the way the old one did so water will no longer run off the driveway into the road.  The patch they put in stands about 2" higher than the rest of the driveway.  It looks ridiculous.  They sprayed sealer over the grass that they did not edge as well as an area that was only soil.  It was peeling up before they had even left the property.  Then they put another patch in where the dirt was and it's about 2" higher than the rest of the driveway.  They didn't want to honor the Angie's List coupon.  After arguing with them they finally gave us almost the full amount of the coupon.  It was a nightmare.  Do yourself a favor and use someone else.

They did repair work at the end of my driveway which looks good.  Then he sold me on sealing my driveway and I wasn't impressed with it.  He didn't really clean the drive before sealing it.  They did some patch work as well and I could have probably done without it.  I wouldn't recommend them for sealing a driveway but they did a good job with the asphalt.

My experience with them went fine.

I got 3 estimates with a wide variation in price and Branton was the lowest price.  I did not go exclusively on price though as David who provided the estimate thoroughly explained the work and even came out a second time when we had additional questions.  He was very  pleasant yet businesslike to work with.   They came as scheduled and completed the work in one day.  They did all the work that was requested and the driveway looks great.  I did have a little bit of a clean-up from extraneous asphalt and debris from areas of the old driveway dug up to a bit of trash.  Cleaning up some of the extraneous asphalt was expected though  They did a good job and were professional.  I would hire them again.  Time will tell how the repaved driveway holds.

They were very good and were more than qualified to do the work. The work was well done, and I do not have any complaints. I felt that they came on time, were efficient, listened to me and completed the work as I had specified.

1. Asphalt mix was supposed to be of kind that would fade to a whitish hue.
2. Sloped so that no standing water.
Standard asphalt mix. Puddles. Their idea of channeling the puddle was to gouge out channel for flow.
Figured for the extra money payed, (had lower bids) would get the type of asphalt I requested.
Instead, have puddled, gouged, black top.

George Branton came to my door and said that he could give me a good deal on driveway repair because he was already working at another house in the neighborhood with hot asphalt.  I had been planning to have someone fix and seal the driveway, so his timing was good.  After talking with George, getting his cost estimate, which seemed good, and checking Angie's List, I called him to set it up.  Later that day his people showed up, but their saw would not start.  So we had to postpone the work.  That was a bummer.  They returned about two weeks later and completed the job, sawing out three cracked sections of driveway and seal coating, for the same price originally quoted.  They did nice work, except that one of the big cracks I had asked George to fix was simply seal coated.  I called George about that several days later and he said they would come back.  Sure enough, a few days later we returned home one afternoon to find the crack filled with tar.  I would have preferred that they saw it out and put in new asphalt as they did with the other big cracks, but at least they did the work with no complaint or extra charge.  Overall I was very happy with their work.  I like that it is a father-son local business.  I also like the product they use - the good kind of asphalt seal coat, not that oil or tar based stuff that doesn't last as long and also is more toxic, from what I've read.  I think that one crack was missed because there did not seem to be direct communication between George and his workers.  He told his son (the foreman) what to do, and his son told the workers and then left the site during most of the job.  Still, I will call them next time my driveway needs work.

They were doing work in the neighborhood, but we had the most extensive work done.  The quality seems good -- it will be hard to tell for another few years.  No known immediate issues.

Branton Paving was punctual and professional.  Our driveway was split between three owners and George spent time with each owner until all questions were answered.  He coordinated with each of us and arrived on time, performed all that he promised and then some.  We are very pleased with the work and would highly recommend George Branton Paving.  We had received quotes from 3 other contractors.  The Branton prices were the best and the service was exceptional.

The whole project was handled very effectively and can only compliment the entire installation team.  The resulting quality of work was most satisfactory.  Would not hesitate to recommend the company.
