Eakles auto care has been serving Howard County since 1978 under the same ownership and still continues to try and provide the best possible service to all our clients. We believe in being honest about your repairs and will never try and sell anything that is not needed.

Services we offer
We offer full scheduled maintenance on domestic and foreign cars. Oil changes, alignments, brake service, exhaust, front end repair, inspections, tires and diagnostic work. We also do firearms transfers through Eakle Firearms if needed.

The folks at Eakle's did the work I requested and after looking the car over, could find nothing else that needed to be done at this time even though I was ready for anything. TRUST is hard to come by from an auto repair shop, but after my experience at Eakle's as well as experiences my immediate family have had with them when working on their cars, I will gladly trust my vehicle there again. Thanks!!!!

Very well. Good price for both the brake service and the oil change, could fit us in relatively soon after contacting them and dropped it off in the a.m. and picked it up later that night. Ended up dropping our other car off as well for the same service.

All seemed ok until a few days later. Oil hemorrhaged from my car, much worse than before.
We never liked the attitude of the staff and we were suspicious a few times b/c we'd take it for one thing and then something else would break later on. So we decided to try someone else this time since it seemed odd that Eakles said they fixed the oil hose, yet the leak got worse!
Sooo glad we did!
The new place told us that the "oil hose" had been replaced by the wrong type of hose - a coolant hose!
They said this should only be used as a temporary fix in case of an emergency.
Because this wrong type of hose was put on, now oil has spilled all over the engine so we have to pay for a new oil hose and clamps, replace the belt which was corroded from the oil, clean all pulleys and replace/change the oil.
Very strange...who replaced the oil belt with this coolant belt? Why? And they didn't let us know????
Fishy indeed.

"Hello, we are sorry for what happened to your vehicle. I just looked at your vehicle history and we had put that oil hose on 6/16/2015 and then on 12/23/1015 when it was in for service is when we tightened the clamps on the hose at back of valve cover. If we would have thought the hose had a problem we would have fixed it at that time. We would never use a coolant hose for anything oil related. We try to do our best but sometimes things happen and not sure what happened in your case but we do apologize for what your inconvenience. We have been in business since 1978 by treating our customers right and if you want you can bring the invoice from your recent repair and we will refund you the cost of the repair the other shop did. Again sorry this happened and hope we can try and make it right for you. Thanks Eakles Auto Care"

After receiving an outrageous estimate on brake replacement for our minivan from another shop, we tried Eakles auto care. They completed the work quickly and well, and charged less than half of what the previous shop had told us. Would definitely recommend.

The workers at Eakles had told me certain problems with my car's performance could be due to an old or stretched timing belt. They did not push to have it done, but did warn me what to watch for. When I saw the signs, I scheduled the service. I left it at the shop, planning to leave it for a week. They gave me a reasonable estimate.
They called me the next day, telling me what had been done and everything was complete. Their estimate was close to what they charged, and my car has been performing well since.
The people at Eakles have gone out of their way to fix problems with my car, even when finding parts was difficult. I do not feel they have overcharged for the work they've performed, and it's usually done faster than their estimate.
