All went well...blower starts up immediately and ready for my storage this summer following Clark's tips on making sure blowe is ready for storage.

The staff in the hardware department in particular are always helpful and very knowledgeable.  They have always found the part I needed in their inventory.

I brought the leaf blower in to Clark's on Monday 11/03/15.  Three telephone calls later and 6 weeks later, I got a call from the service person that the blower was diagnosed and would take about another 2 weeks to complete the repair.
For an off-season repair to take 6+ weeks is absurd!  I will not use this store again.
Further, I will not purchase a Stihl product again.  A new blower is $ !39.  To repair this 2-year old unit cost $ 91.58.  I assumed
when purchasing the Stihl that it was the Cadillac of units.  I was really wrong!  Last year, I purchased a Stihl trimmer based on the same assumption.  I'm just waiting for it to stop operating also .
Back to Sears for future purchases!

Great people, great service. I laughed when I mentioned my Home Depot experience and from their response I felt like Home Depots faults lead to Clark's gain.

Overall, I love it at Clark's. I recommend everyone that doesn't know what they are doing, or wants better customer service to go there. Again, I have been there on some off days. I went on a Monday morning once, and that was a bad idea, every employee was restocking shelves, so it was harder to get help. If you need help, avoid early Monday mornings, but I understand businesses need to put stuff back on their shelves, so it didn't really bother me, I am just going to try and avoid going then in the future.

Overall it was awesome, timely service. I read a review in a different place complaining about the cost for repairing screens and that it was a rip off. I think the service was excellent, and I can see how if a screen or window is in really bad shape it wouldn't be worth getting it repaired, and it would be less expensive buying a new one. I think that is what impressed me the most with my experience there, they didn't try to mislead me and take my money. I received an honest opinion and great help, that's hard to find sometimes these days.

Good estimate, fast turnaround and excellent repair. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. At one point they would only service brands that they sell; they now carry craftsman and that policy may have changed.

They offered the name and number of a Sykesville based repair shop called Schatz.

They will do small engine repair, which covers multiple categories like portable generators, lawn mowers, and snow blowers. They charge a $35 deposit to get started. For my repairs, they first tried a couple of simple fixes to get it started. This included changing the spark plug (I had the wrong size in it) and replacing the starter module. When this did not solve the problem, they rebuilt the carburetor, which ultimately got it working again. They will call and get your authorization before doing any repairs. Alternatively, you could preauthorize a certain dollar level of repair right up front, although I did not take that route (for example, letting them do anything that would cost $200 or less). The experience was very positive and they did a great job explaining the issues. Their store hours are also convenient, which was another big plus.
