At Home Countertops

Mike and his team were wonderful for our home in Maryland! (Old address was Arlington.) Anyway, our situation was a bit complicated, but our original kitchen designer didn't include granite for our large kitchen windowsill, which was a focal point for our kitchen. We originally thought we would be okay with putting a wood windowsill there, but as the remodel was drawing to a close, we realized this was a big mistake and had to be remedied. Our contractor gave us Mike's number and I am so glad we chose him to install our stone windowsill! Mike and his team were able to secure granite from the same lot number in the yard as the original granite that was used for the rest of the countertops, and they made the windowsill edges match the other countertops perfectly! We were so happy! Also, we realized after the windowsill was installed that the original fabricator for the rest of the countertops put our backsplashes in backwards in one spot of the kitchen, and Mike and his team came back a second time to fix their mistake. They went above and beyond expectations and even put in brand new backsplashes with the extra material from our slab to make the backsplashes more seamless and better aligned with our kitchen window! His prices seemed very fair and reasonable, and his customer service was excellent, very responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to use At Home Countertops again!

Mike was very responsive. His team did a great job. Job was completed in a timely manner and the countertop is beautiful. We also added a cabinet and new farm sink. I couldn't be happier. There is some cracking in the grout behind the sink. I am waiting for a response from the sub contractor.

Mike and staff did an exceptional job. Mike met with us, offered suggestions but was never pushy, and offered a vast selection of countertops. His install team was courteous, on time, did an A+ install, and completely cleaned up after the job was complete. Our entire experience with AtHomeCountertops was incredible!

This was a very easy and seamless process. Mike was very prompt to respond to my calls and set up a meeting time that was convenient. He took the time to answer all my questions, go over the differences in samples and other options. The day of installation went without a problem. The crew was prompt and very professional. They finished the work faster than expected, and left the place spotless. I would hire them again.

Very quick process. The owner brought samples to my home within a day. Professional installation. Only drawback was a seam in my counter top that I didn’t think was going to be there. Ask questions before you proceed.

I was having difficulty finding a granite countertop I envisioned for my powder room remodel. I contacted At Home Countertops and Mike worked with me to find the right stone product. He dropped off a sample at my home and then worked with me to do the measuring and ordering. The install guys were great, too. Very professional and everything was spotless when they left. I'm very pleased with the countertop, the workmanship, and Mike's responsiveness to my questions. Mike also followed up with me a few days later to make sure everything met my expectations.

Mike (sales manager?) coordinated everything, was 100% responsive day and night, always polite and professional, his creative suggestions turned out beautifully in my finished product. The carpenters, plumber, electricians were all 5 stars and they were reliable, prompt, clean and efficient.

I was very pleased with the quality of work. The team was also very professional and they cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the job. The countertop looks beautiful but the sink they provided seems very thin.

The countertop is great. The service is great. In hindsight, I would have ordered a more expensive faucet to go with my granite selection.

Quality work and professional staff.

The countertop was installed very quickly. My one reserve is when the crew was done with my Kitchen countertop there was up to a half an inch gap between my countertop and my cabinets. There wasn't a gap with my original countertop. I called the owner and he promptly came to our home and he did not offer any explanation except to say that the cabinets may have settled over the 25 years they have been there. To get the counter level they had to place "shims" between the countertop and the tops of my lower cabinets. When we stated some type of molding would have to be used to cover the gap they stated that's something "we (the customer) could do". One of our cabinets is leaning about 1/8 of an inch from top to bottom now and this did not concern him.

The work was done promptly, on schedule with excellent workmanship and good value.

Mike was great to work with he was friendly and professional. Loved the van with all the samples in our driveway to choose from. Huge selection. I've already recommended Mike to my brother and sister in-law who are getting ready for their own remodel. Highly recommend. Great job.

Update: A couple of weeks after the work was completed, Mike did stop by and inspect it and address my concerns. The Good: Awesome job and the finished product is just what we wanted. The pictures I shared on social media are free advertising for AtHome as all of my friends are asking "Who did them??" The Bad: The few minor issues pointed out to the owner were pretty much ignored. Overall: Very professional job. Would definitely use them again. Full Review:They did an excellent job overall and we're very pleased. Our new counters look great along with our new faucet/sink they also installed. Mike's employees were all very friendly and did very good work. The crew was on time, got the job done and cleaned up after themselves. I felt like Mike lacked empathy when a few issues occurred. They were all minor but just so people know: we had some trouble picking out our slab at the warehouse because all of the ones with the design we wanted were partially damaged or a deposit was found. We spent 2.5 hours there. Next, I noticed that a deposit mark was on part of the slab used on our counters and that our sink selection didn't allow the garbage disposal to fit on the side we wanted. When I mentioned each of these things to Mike there was no reaction or explanation from him. As others have said, having the showroom on wheels so we could see the samples in our kitchen made picking a design very easy. Finally, it was great that the initial free estimate from Mike was the same amount charged. Some places wanted a huge deposit just to do the estimate!

A great experience all around: from the traveling showroom, selecting samples to take into your kitchen, spot-on measurement-taking, to the extremely efficient installation. Mike McGuire is highly professional, as is his installation team. It was a pleasure doing business with such an outstanding company. I highly recommend their services!

After countless home shows and unwanted solicitations, we had just about given up on our granite countertop project. It just wasn't worth the hassle. Our neighbor recommended Mike McGuire and his mobile showroom. We remember seeing his truck at a recent home show and commented want a great idea that was. We gave him a call, ( one of the few vendors who did not bombard us with sales calls ) and the rest is history. He catered to our busy schedule, educated us on the whole process of choosing the right stone, and his crew was top notch and true to their time schedule. The finished product is amazing and we couldn't be happier with the our 'new' kitchen. We highly recommend Mike and his team! P.S. I felt that At Home Countertops, LLC was very gentlemanly and no hassle type of things. His presentation was top notch. They showed me the types of Granite to choose from but I was out of the country and let him choose the Granite, everything was installed on time and we are happy with the end result.
