I requested a replacement of my old porch, on the same footprint. American Deck addressed concerns with some rot, advised and scheduled electrical work needed, and ensured permits were made and inspections were completed to Howard County requirements. The porch is structurally sound, and composed of the materials I requested. So why did I rate American Deck a 'D'? American Deck completely ignored the original footprint, and decided that my 30-year-old shrubs were in the way. So they ground them to the dirt. I'll have no joy with this porch, as I now have no privacy, and there is no shrubbery anywhere. As a bonus, they left the dead stumps of my shrubbery, with their spring growth slowly withering, for me to clean up.f
