A CAPLAN'S ANTIQUES

This is a good example of where Angie's List really falls down; i.e., the merchant or tradesperson who doesn't really perform the services that they advertise and/or are disinterested in being available to provide the services that they list. This company claims that they appraise and sell furniture, including single pieces up to the entire content of a household. However, when I contacted them, they immediately let me know that they really weren't interested -- even before I told them what I was trying to get rid of. I then pretty much listed every broad category that exists (" Beds" "Dining Room Tables" "Side Chairs" "End Tables" "Parlor Sets" etc) and without so much as asking me for any details, they informed me that "such items don't sell." Contacting them was a total waste of my time, and I could have wasted my time in the same way by simply using the Yellow Pages or Google. Angie's List added absolutely no value in recommending them because, in fact, they are NOT a company that provides the services that Angie's List has recommended them to provide.
