T&A Paving INC

I got 4 quotes to add this area to my driveway for extra parking and ease of backing out.  T&A provided the low quote by a couple hundred and I was hesitant to go with them but money was an big concern.  I cant be happier, they did a great job and their crew was very friendly. They even filled a pot hole in the street just off my driveway that has been bothering us for years. I will update in a few month based on how it holds up, but right now I would consider them for a future project.

They caught my elderly mother off guard while pulling out of the driveway on the way to a doctors appointment with what they proposed to do without giving her a final cost of the job before starting. She thought they only had a small amount they wanted to get rid of at  x amount per sq. ft. or yd. When she returned from a doctors appointment the job was already done they took out the good crusher run that was in the driveway and put in the road grindings the driveway looked ok and the end result may have been ok if done in the summer when the asphalt may have melted back together. It was done when the weather was too cold now she has a driveway that you can no longer roll a floor jack onto to work on vehicles. When this is done all that happens is you drag all the road grindings out where you try to roll the jack. The price was way to high for the scrap material that was used. She expected the price would be a couple hundred dollars not $5400.00 which they discounted down to $4500.00. They also did not clean up the mess they left behind along the driveway with the crusher run that had the grass growing in it. I looks like they took the crusher run that had the grass in it that they did not want and just left it alongside the driveway for me to do something with it so I can cut the grass and took all the good crusher run and probably used it on another job. The driveway was redone about 7 years ago with the crusher run (which packs down pretty solid and you can roll a floor jack on it without it tearing up the driveway) and was already setup for it to be blacktopped. Now if it is decided to pave the driveway all these grindings will have to be removed in order to pave because if it is paved over them the driveway will be higher than the garage floor. She would have never spent that kind of money without consulting my sister or myself. I contacted them a couple of times to see when they were going to come back and clean up the mess the left They came out & looked at it and called me back but did not leave a message when I returned the phone call the owner has yet to call me back.
