Art came to our home with one of his workers for the initial job evaluation, supplied an estimate via e-mail, addressed each question, and brought sample shingles and vinyl to our home for color selection.  Our job did not start when we expected it to, but this was due to weather factors NOT scheduling issues or his workers.  As the work progressed if a problem was encountered we were contacted in advance (if it incurred additional monies) or were told how the problem was addressed when we arrived home in the evenings.  We were told to expect leaks in light of the weather situation and they were promptly resolved.  These gentlemen put in a lot of work and effort and attention to detail to make a 40 year old, rotting, falling apart, garage and work room look like a new, maintence free building.  They even made a few additional reccommendations for our consideration to ensure the most maintenance free building we could possibly own. 

I was referred to McMillan through a friend who also had a garage built from scratch.  These friends are very particular about their home so if they were happy I knew we'd be happy.  We will absolutely be using McMillan again in the future.

The garage looks great BUT when it rains water comes into the garage due to faulty workmanship. The cinder block walls were not parged or waterproofed below grade and the mortar in between the blocks was almost non existent (see pictures). Called the contractor numerous times and sent a written letter BUT he NEVER returned calls or came to look at the water issue. The company has an "F" ratng with the Better Business Bureau and I wish I would have called them prior to contracting with this company. Other issue I had was the contractor left for vacation for 2 weeks and said his crew would finish the job but this never happened. I called 5 times while the owner was on vacation and got the run-around and excuses why the crew couldn't come out. Fell free to contact me if you want pictures of the poor job. Hopefully the court will make him pay the $2500 it will cost me to fix the walls to stop the water from coming in the garage. Also, the garage floor has a crack after 3 months which also is wet after a rain.
