JAMES ALBRECHT CARPENTRY

From the wall removal to the completed project, everything was done perfectly. My friends wanted to see project pictures of the big mess from removing the wall. I had to disappoint them since James never made a mess at all! The wall was replaced with 4 French doors. Two are fixed on each side of the opening, while the other two can slide to open over the fixed units. All doors can be removed if needed. This was a unique project and it was completed with perfection. Every detail was considered. Things that I especially appreciated about working with James: Very knowledgeable, professional and accommodating. James was always in touch, showed up on time and never left any construction dust or debris at the end of each day. His work is perfect! Yes, seriously, everything that he did for this project turned out perfect! This project exceeded my expectations!

We first started having concerns when we realized that James would be working with his two teenage boys, who were neither experienced nor professional. During removal of trim they damaged many pieces requiring replacement. James did the ceramic tile himself and for whatever reason ran the grout up into the corners onto the trim at an angle. I had never seen this before (nor since) and asked him to remove it from the trim - which he did very begrudgingly. The paint (subcontracted through one of James' contacts) was a poor job at best, and James effectively chose not to resolve the issues (by ignoring repeated requests). James left a garden hose running upon completion of the project, causing a SECOND FLOOD (fortunately smaller than the 1st). Today we had an electrician identify that it was likely his sloppy work that nearly caused our house to burn down. By the end of the project James was sullen and belligerent in most interactions and I could not be rid of him fast enough.
