I would NOT recommend AHI. I would recommend that anyone looking for a home inspector find someone besides Accredited Home Inspections and Larry Barrow. My wife and I bought a house in June and used Larry to do our inspection. He completely missed the fact that the house had a wet basement. We have had 2 inches of water in it (thankfully the basement is not finished). The waterproofing has cost us $5000, which we shouldn't have had to pay because it should have been caught by Larry, in my opinion. The waterproofing company showed us some telltale signs of water that once pointed out were even obvious to our untrained eyes. Additionally after getting into the house we noticed that a support beam in the basement is being supported by an expanding tension rod. He didn't even point this out to us and we should have probably had an engineer look at it before we purchased the house. We also had a $1000 heater repair the first time we turned it on (although I'm not sure that it is something Larry should have caught, however it doesn't help the review in conjunction with the other items that we found).
