Andy Payne came on a Wednesday to discuss the work. He made many expert suggestions as to what could be done and what was best to either delay or what would be best to leave alone. He showed particular expertise in how to deal with the huge deer presence in our neighborhood. Many of our original notions were modified for the better as a result. He provided an estimate by phone on Friday and work began on the following Monday. Only a minor amount of work was carried into Tuesday and this was done by 9 a.m. Payne Landscaping usually has a backlog of jobs so it was an exceptionally fast response, made possible by getting to them early in the spring.
As they worked, Bob Payne, who supervised the work, constantly discussed the details with us and sought our guidance in resolving the questions that arose. Meanwhile the crew of experienced, in-house workers carried out all the work to our full satisfaction. The results are beautiful.

Mr Payne came out on time to give an estimate on the work I wanted done. He made suggestions on the border stone and we agreed that the curbstone would look the best. He said he would get back to me in a few days with an estimate and did, he said he had an opening the following day to do the work and we agreed on that day and the price (at the time I thought it was a little high).

The following morning Mr. Payne and his crew of 5 showed up at 8:30. He explained to his foreman what needed to be done and left. The crew cleaned out all of the old mulch. Then they started installing the curb stone andl cemented them in place. While they were intalling the curbstone another man started on the pavers, dug out and put down and compacted crushed stone and the pavers over that. When all the stone work was done they mulched all beds, cleaned up any mess and put downgrass seed around the curbstone and pavers.

The job looks great was done correctly with quality products. The foreman (Chuck I think) was personable and friendly. The crew worked hard and were done by 2:30.

Payne did a QUALITY job and I am very pleased. I said earlier in this review that I thought the price was a little high, but after seeing all that was done and the quality of material and workmanship I think it was a very fair price.

In the Endor Gardens section of Baltimore, my neighbor and I have an adjoining front lawn area. The retaining wall was crumbling, the landscaping was old, and the ground cover was out of control. We decided to share the cost of redoing the front area.
Payne Landscaping, as well as several other companies came out and discussed options. Estimates for this job were all over the place but we went with Payne because they were thoughtful, took pictures of the jobsite, give me a VERY detailed proposal, and would negotiate the price on some minor things.
John showed up on time with a crew of three. They efficiently tore out all the old vegetation, dug the foundation for the wall, cut down the two large bushes, and cleaned up everything... all before lunch. In the afternoon, they installed the stone wall being careful to align and level everything. I provided a cooler with cold water. (De nada)
They finished by 6 PM. They did a BEAUTIFUL job!!! I am now the pride of my block. Several neighbors came out to get quotes for themselves.

They did a beautiful job on the work. I have used them twice now and would hire them again. They send out a gentleman Chris who really listens to you and knows exactly what to do. He personalizes the work and is really a genius. He will give you a wonderful drawing with an accurate estimate as well.

They could not come out when they originally planned, because of weather problems. However once they started and told us that they would be finished is a certain amount of days they were right on top of it. They are all very professional. I give them straight A's all around.
