"On October 8, 2024, Patapsco Valley Lawn & Landscape LLC provided a lawn mowing service for [Member Name Removed] at property location [Member Information Removed] Road, Elkridge, MD [Member Information Removed]. We have been providing lawn mowing services to the property since April 9, 2024. On October 8, 2024, I received an email from Mr. [Member Name Removed] stating he noticed two holes in his privacy fence after we had left the property. I responded to his email that I was sorry to hear about the damage to his fence and that it appears some object must have been on the ground near the fence that we mowed over with our mower. Please note that OUR MOWER DID NOT PHYSICALLY HIT THE FENCE. I have attached a picture of the damaged fence for your reference that Mr. [Member Name Removed] provided to me. From the picture, it appears the cable cord circled in yellow highlight was laying on the ground near the fence and our mower ran over it causing it to be thrown out of the mower and hit the fence. You can see the entry point the cable hit the fence that I highlighted and circled in purple. The visible notice of the green marks on the fence shows the 'whipping action' of the cable. Also note in the picture, the large rocks laying near the fence. Our service is to provide lawn mowing. It is the responsibility of the customer to have their yard cleared of debri so we can mow their lawn. If we had to walk each of our customer's properties to assess for debri and remove it off the ground, we would be out of business. If our mower physically hit the fence, I would agree that it would be our responsibility to fix the fence. The damage to the fence is the negligence of the customer. Despite our stance that it is not our responsibility for the damaged fence, I am mailing a check for $400 today to [Member Name Removed] I have attached the copy of the check. Sincerely, Tracy Bennett Owner"
"Thank you Mrs. [Member Name Removed]! We are honored to have you as a customer and apart of the Patapsco Valley Landscape family!"
