To do better for me they could be cheaper. They are pretty solid. They have gotten much, much, much better on responsiveness. They have stepped it up.

I have a TV installed and I have the cable play in which they forgot to ground it apparently I didn't realize that. But one day I walked into the house and it smells like they burned a heap of tyres, inside the house was horrible but then I walked into the living room and the TV was and it blown up and the back of the TV was blown up. It actually singed the wall and it didn't burn down the house fortunately but it was a mess. They have subcontractors do everything for them, so I was calling Comcast and they're saying nobody was taking responsibility. Actually Comcast is telling them you have liability on this you make it right but they don't want to make it -- they don't want to fork over the bill.. The amount of times I had to call people and then they were changing these guys who would come here were kind of scruffy. He called me and I called back, I said you meet me at a major electronics retail store at noon on Saturday and buy me a brand new TV or I'm filing this law suit which I already prepared against Comcast. And I'm sure your not gonna like having one of your subcontractors not trying to make things right. So he met me there bought me the TV and everything worked out, but only after weeks and weeks and weeks of just regrets.

The technician showed up early and did all the outside connections while he was waiting for us to arrive. Once inside, he hooked everything up and we walked around with a small TV to make sure each box was working properly. He gave us a few tips and tricks and then gave us his personal cell phone number and said we could call him anytime in the next 30 days and he's there to help us if we had any issues or questions. Could not have asked for a better experience and it was so smooth. He genuinely seemed to like his job and it showed in his attitude and demeanor. A very pleasant experience!

Their customer service is horrible. It is very bad. The people working there don't know what they are doing there. My service has been spotty and staticy for awhile now. They tried refreshing my box remotely but that didn't fix the issues that I was having so they said that they would have to send a tech out to look into this issue. The tech, Steve Stover, came out on 11/8 to look into these issues. He discovered some frayed wires that have been there since it was installed 5 years ago. He also determine the static was caused by the box outside of the house and it would need to be replaced. They were supposed to return on 11/14 to replace the box. I was informed by my neighbor that they didn't do anything that day and just sat in their truck. I thought they were replacing the box on that day. They returned on 11/18 to finish the repairs. When I got home from work that day, I discovered that they had left a trench in my yard that they didn't fix it properly. I also discovered the repairs still haven't been completed. I was informed that this repair will not be completed until 12/3. A supervisor was suppose to call me to follow up with me about this situation but has never called to follow up with me. I will not be able to put up my Christmas decorations until this repair is completed. I'm not sure what still needs to be completed because they aren't communicating with me. The only good thing they have done is sent out a good tech on the first visit. I would give the tech, Steve Stover, an A+ for his service. I would also give his supervisor, Broadrick Maybank, an A+, too. They were both very professional. They are the only bright spot in this whole situation.

Service was restored and since then have had no further problems.
Description of Work: Internet service was constantly going down and they sent a technician. The technician was very professional and extremely helpful, explaining why it went down and the problems. Got it restored.

The quality of their service is alright. I think they are overpriced but there is not really any competition of them; they are the only providers in this area. I would not necessarily recommend them to others. There is no choice so unfortunately I will continue to use them in the future.

CAN'T GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM BY PHONE OR E-MAIL. THEIR BILLING DEPARTMENT SUCKS. THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO KEEP INFORMATION ON YOUR ACCOUNT AS TO WHAT IS BEING DONE WHEN SOMEONE CHANGES ANYTHING, BUT APPARENTLY THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN. ANOTHER MONTH TRYING TO GET THE AMOUNTS STRAIGHT. I AM TIRED OF THEIR NONSENSE. CAN'T THEY EMPLOY ANYONE WITH SOME COMMON SENSE....NOT EVEN THEIR SUPERVISORS ARE AVAILABLE. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN THE BILLING DEPARTMENT.I GIVE THEM F ALL THE WAY DOWN THE LINE. I WAITED FOR OVER 40 MINUTES AND NO ONE ANSWERED, THIS IS COMMON PLACE....I GUESS THEY ALL ARE ON A BREAK OR TO LUNCH.

I think all the companies are six of one, half dozen of another. It is what it is. I think that our internet is slow and I need to call them. They have to redo things every now and then and the wiring has to be redone every now and then. I’m not really sure what’s going on but the signal keeps getting slow. They keep coming in and doing something.

NOT GOOD. The "technician" starting his work by accidentally disconnecting the neighbors service.
Description of Work: My tenant had COMCAST install a new line into the back second floor of my property, and quite frankly I could have hired a team of kindergarteners to do a better job. I hinted at the fact that there was an existing cable on the second floor already, but the COMCAST "technician" insisted that he needed to drill a hole into the side of the house. He did that, and rather that go through an obscure place (soffits) he came in through the side and left the white cable dangling and NOT secured in any fashion to the side of the house. I am really angry and probably should not be typing this in my state but I have had enough with being polite and nice to people. I save that for the phone conversation. Stay away from COMCAST in this area.

Our appointment was scheduled to occur between 2 and 5, which I thought was a large window. At 4 30 my wife suggested giving them a call to make sure they were coming. The operator told me they couldn't check on their installers, which seemed a little odd. An hour went by and I wasn't contacted by the installer of Comcast. At 6 I decided to call again and see what was going on. I was put on hold while the operator tried to contact the installer (remember, the other one told me they couldn't), and after 25 minutes of waiting on hold was hung up on! As you can imagine this left me rather bitter, but I noticed a missed call on my phone. I called the number and it was for dispatch, who had contacted the installer and said he would be arriving in about 10 minutes. At 7 30, another hour later, the guy knocked on the door and went to work. He did everything that was required fairly quickly, although we had an issue connecting to their network. He contacted their customer service line and hung up on one of their representatives because they were not being helpful. You read that correctly, even the installer had trouble with their customer service! After another 20 minutes he was finished with the install (9 PM at this time), packed up and left. To make matters worse, he parked his truck at the end of my neighbor's driveway, so they were blocked in for an hour and a half. It was by far the worst install I've ever experienced!
Description of Work: The installer needed to do something with a cap outside of the house in order to connect us to the Internet. I had my modem and wireless router set up and ready to go, so all they needed was a signal.

They are good. I don?t have any problems with their service or their customer service. They are okay and I haven?t had a need to call them. Their price is expensive but you get what you pay for. I would probably use their services in the future too.

I had a situation wherein somebody had dug up the cable wire outside my house and cut it. I am not sure who did it. However, Comcast wouldn?t send a person out without somebody being at my home. They weren?t ready to consider that it was an external issue. I was without the internet facility for a week, which I was very under whelmed by. When I told them that I'd switch over to another service provider, they refunded me for the week in which the service was not provided and for another additional week.

They are cheaper than the fiber optic company, and the fiber optic company won't give us DSL because fiber optic is available. We had problems with our service for the first couple months. It would just stop working. They sent several guys out to fix the problem, but they never permanently fixed it. It was a problem higher up the line, so I didn't have to pay for the service calls, but we didn't have service for days at a time. We almost gave up and went with the much more expensive fiber, but they finally fixed it and we haven't had problems for the last few weeks. The last repair guy told us we could ask for a credit for the missed time. They gave us a credit for the time offline, which worked out to about a month's charge.

TURN AROUND TIME FOR SERVICE CALL IS TERRIBLE. THREE TIMES WE WERE PROMISED A SERVICE PERSON WOULD COME (TOOK OFF ONE DAY FROM WORK) AND EACH TIME, NO ONE SHOWED UP. WHEN SERVICE TECHNICIAN ARRIVED, HE STATED THAT IT WAS ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT WOULD NEED TO BE MANAGED BY ANOTHER DIVISION! UNFORTUNATELY, WITH LITTLE COMPETITION, COMCAST HAS A MONOPOLY ON THE CABLE BUSINESS AND THEREFORE COULD CARE LESS HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS.
