We are new home-owners and never cared for a pool or hot tub before.  Lon, from Advance Pools, helped us in two ways.  Before settlement, he performed an inspection of the pool and hot-tub and gave us a detailed report of the condition of both, including cost estimates for needed repairs.  After settlement, he came back to our house and gave us hands-on instructions on how to care for both.  He was very knowledgeable, thorough and extremely helpful.

Gave quote over the phone, came out quickly, and did a very detailed and professional job. Charged less than original quote.

Husband and wife (owners?) team, seemed knowledgeable and honest but slow--which was kind of a problem since they charged by the hour and told me they'd charge another $75 next yr because I have a wall on one end of the pool & made it difficult for them (never heard this before). May have added more chemicals than prior company but prices on these seemed fair. Excellent job cleaning cover, storing things carefully, noting problems without pressuring me into hiring them to fix them, communicating about what they did and asking permission. Still, I was a little surprised at the overall price since they quoted me $250 for pool closing over the phone, and I didn't think there would be so many add-ons. I was also disappointed that they said they couldn't deal w/ cleaning the auto-cover; our ex-company dealt with everything, which was nice but at the same time, they were dishonest about price and nasty to boot. This company, seems polite and professional. Check/cash only but billed on site.

Originally contacted Advance to perform a pool startup on a house I had recently purchased. My schedule was tight and they accommodated it. They performed the startup and answered all questions I had. While Damien was there he noted that some of the plumbing from the previous owners was sub-par. He recommended some changes, so I scheduled to have them come out. The second time, the owner came out. He did not 100% agree with Damien's assessment, but the majority they agreed on. He performed the work we decided on and I am pleased so far. They also price matched some "mail order" chemicals and components and I was very impressed with that. Their billing system is a little disorderly and it is hard to contact them sometimes, however they are all working while answering cell phones, so its understandable.

THIS COMPANY SEEMED TO HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB OPENING OUR POOL, HOWEVER ACCORDING TO ANOTHER POOL COMPANY THEY DID SELL US SOME CHEMICALS THAT WE DID NOT NEED FOR OUR TYPE OF POOL.
