Description of Work: The company came to look at the work that I needed done and told me that it would be more cost efficient for me to do something else. However, I have used A-1 for gutter repair work and to install gutter guards in the past. I highly recommend this company. They are very professional through every step of the process. The service, quality of work, and pricing were all excellent. I will definitely use them for any future work needed regarding gutters, siding, or roofing.

Description of Work: Kangaroof performed a roof inspection. From the time Barbara answered the phone when I called to make an appointment to the time Samuel got down from my roof the experience with this company was very professional. I received a written statement about the condition of my roof, which included a guarantee. There was a problem that occurred because of a miscommunication, however that was promptly resolved over the phone. This is an excellent company with whom to do business.

Description of Work: We were happy to have this done before the recent storm was forecast! The office scheduled us promptly, and the gentleman arrived as expected. Upon inspecting our roof, he found all to be well except that the way our satellite dish was mounted was not good. He recommended having the dish moved to another location, which we did arrange with the satellite company. After this was done, the roof repair man came back and removed damaged shingles, installed ice and water shield, and new shingles for $339. He did EXCELLENT work...our roof made it through the big storm on 10/29. The only "B" was for pricing...I expected some maintenance sealing to be done as part of the initial $199 deal, but was told none was needed. Admittedly, our roof is steep, but I was hoping that the $199 would cover more than just an inspection. Again, we are very happy with the quality of the work done, the 3 year warranty, and would use them again.

Description of Work: They came by to check our roof, nailed any lose shingles and caulked areas around pipes. The inspector found singles missing, and we hired them to come back to replace them. The service man was extremely professional and helpful. We are SO very thankful we had them come--it sure helped to be better prepared for Hurricane Sandy.

Description of Work: Installed solar attic fan. Installer did a great job and was very friendly. Unfortunately, our first appointment was cancelled due to rain earlier in the day and then our second appointment was cancelled due to possible rain in the forecast (it did not rain). It was very difficult rescheduling numerous times because the people that answer the phones usually could not handle scheduling appointments and they had to have someone else call me back. Also, every time I called, I had to provide my name, description of job, address, and phone number. It would have been nice if they had all that information available instead of having me repeat it every time.

Description of Work: Installed Solar Attic fan. Great deal, and is working very well. They also replaced seal boots and shingle tabs on my plumbing vents, and although I agreed to have it done, I do believe the price for such a simple 10 minute replacement was a bit steep. Other then that, I was satisfied with the work.

Description of Work: They installed a solar-powered ceiling vent fan (main purpose for visit), and also replaced some flashing around a vent on the roof and cleaned the gutters (problems discovered during the install visit). They did a great job and we very professional. Two minor points: 1) they were about 20 minutes late (but their dispatcher called to let me know this); and 2) although the price for the ceiling fan was great, their charges for cleaning the gutter seemed a bit high ($100 per gutter, so $200 total for a middle-unit townhome, which is probably 15 minutes of work.) Overall, however, I was very satisfied.

Description of Work: My call was never returned, though they'd said they would have a technician call me. Therefore, no service performed. Admittedly, it was a very busy time for roofers to be clearing roofs of the extensive snow & ice received in this area, but without a return to call to indicate they would not be able to perform the work, I will not be using this outfit in the future.

Description of Work: Stripped roof completely. Replaced damaged wood, felt, flashings, ice and water shields, vent collars and shingles w/new.
