Reliable Paving

During the cutouts of the dents, their concrete saw stopped working several times. They came back the next day with a rental one and proceeded to finish filling the holes with stone and cold patch blacktop and sealed the driveway. I was told that it would take 10 days to two weeks for the patches to harden. It has now been over 4 weeks and most of the larger patches are still soft. I've left several phone messages at their office but no one called back. Not a company that cares about their customers.

The patch failed within 1 month. The sealer failed in about 6 months. Numerous calls for warranty repairs went unanswered (contract says there is a 2 year warranty)

They are not reliable, the workmanship is shoddy, not dependable, and not professional. I had to keep track of every check, balance, and outstanding, and they would come and ask for an advance, and pay more than half in advance. It was an awful experience. They worked from May to October. The price for some of it was economical, but when you had to pay for all the add-ins, re-dos, and material it turned out to be more costly. I could have got much more quality work for that price is you look at the work. They had to keep coming back, leaky fountain, and bad tiles. The responsiveness was not reliable. It was hard to know when they would show, he would say they would come and then not show, it was always something, someone was sick, or in hospital, or was hurt. I will not use them. I think the project was too large for him to handle, he had all of these individual contractors, and he promised to do them, but he didn't know how to do them.

Reliable Paving was very good. They have even returned since the work has been complete to see how it is doing. One of my neighbors was so impressed with their work that he hired them. It is a family business. One son does the estimating and he was very professional and cordial. The other son does the work with the father. While they were working the father kept checking with me to make sure the work was right. They said they would do it in a day. They came that day, very punctually, and got the work done exactly as they said they would. They came back later and recommended I put a coating on. They gave me a discount on that. I had read in Consumer Reports that the coating would help maintain the asphalt. They have returned again to make sure I was still satisfied and asked if they could tell potential customers that they could drive by my house to see their work. I told them that was fine. They have always been very cordial. They work quietly. You don't have people asking to come into your house or any foul language. They were very professional and self-sufficient. I got a quote from another company and it was the same price.

Overall, it turned out very well. They did a really nice job. They were very friendly, easy to deal with, and extremely accommodating. They did a very neat and tidy job, and cleaned-up after themselves.
