We bought our 1920-built Gingerbread Victorian home in April 2012. We had a key to the front door but none to the back or side and were going to buy entirely new doors because the two that are currently there are very old. FINALLY, after two years of having to walk around the front to let myself in (our driveway is closer to the back door), I called Abingdon Locksmith. The gentleman that came to do the work was a pleasure and in less than an hour, I didn't have to walk around the front of the house to let myself in anymore.

I needed a barrel key for a drawer in a freshly-painted vanity that I was giving my wonderful daughter-in-law at her baby shower the following day in another part of the state. Yes, I had waited to the last minute and, having struck out at two shops, was heading back to work with the drawer but no key. Well, I happened to pass a vacant Rt. 40 shopping center and I could see renovations taking place. A once-large store was being transformed into a satellite location for a local church. Among the construction vehicles were (hard to believe, but true) two panel trucks with LOCKSMITH on the side. Fortunately for me, Mr. Keith Holbrook, certified registered locksmith or CRL, listened to my story. To my good fortune, he happened to have a barrel key in his truck. He honed the key using a large file and his knee as a work bench. After seven tries, the key fit! Mr. Holbrook turned down payment and wished me luck. I'm very grateful for his generosity and highly recommend him and Abingdon Locksmith.

My house was crazy busy that day, had many contractors coming and going, as we just bought the house. When Abingdon Lock showed up we went through the house and I showed him what I wanted done. He went about his business and worked efficiently and quietly. He ran into an issue, nothing on his end, found me running around and came up with a solution. Very professional and courteous as well.

We bought a new house and wanted the locks changed. They responded the next day and did an excellent job. Reccomended we just re-key the existing locks and saved us a lot of money. Very professional. We would use them aagain.

We just purchased a new house and wanted all the locks changed so I called Abingdon Locksmith. They told me that instead of replacing all the locks we could have the current locks re-keyed for a lot less. We went with that method. We knew one lock needed replacing and had already bought that one. The locksmith arrived promptly and went right to work. He re-keyed 3 locks and replaced the one new lock. When he tried one of the keys, it wouldn't work in the current lock so he took it back to the shop to see if there was something he or someone at the shop could do with it. He got back within the hour and said the lock itself was broke so he replaced that lock and re-key it so we could use the same key on all locks. Very satisfied with the service and thought the price was reasonable. I would recommend this company.

They are very professional and they don't try to give me a lot of baloney. They good job and their prices are reasonable. Their product is great and they will also come back if they need to.

I went to them and they said that it was not the key. They said all I had to do was to bring the cylinder in and they would repair it and I did and brought it home and it works. I spent about $35 or $40 for all the work that they did. I plan on using them in the next couple of weeks.

Abingdon was great. They were nice and we had them come back for one other thing. They were on time, friendly, and quick.

They really went out of their way to help me out. They showed me how I could get around certain things. The problem was between compatibility between two different locks.

I called Abindon Locksmiths to replace the locks on the doors of the house I just purchased. The seller hadn't turned in all of the keys to the property and the existing locks didn't sit right in the basement or front doors and were of low quality, easily defeated by burglars. They came out two days from when I contacted them. There were two employees working at the same time. I also asked if they could install a peep-hole as I didn't have one and would like one. They said they could and they did. The peep-hole they installed is about the size of a quarter, much larger than the tiny ones I'm used to. It gives an excellent 360 view of the stairs and doorway to my home, I really like that! No one can hide out of sight of this peep-hole. The new locks work very smoothly and now the door sits tight when the lock is engaged, there is no play to slide a screwdriver or credit card into the hole and pop the lock. They did an excellent job and were finished in a hour.

Locksmith responded the same day that I called. The gentleman answering the phone was informative and polite. The gentleman who did the work in my home was polite and helpful in giving me advice on the best type of safety locks for my home. He re-keyed four locks and provided me with three sets of keys. I had called several companies to compare prices. Abingdon Locksmith beats all others hands down. The service was excellent.

Overall they came right out and had two dead bolts in and working in know time at all.Great job he did and if we need any other work I will hire this team again

SERVICE PERFORMED AT THE HOME. FIVE DIFFERENT ENTRANCES WERE RE-KEYED, AND FOUR ADDITIONAL KEYS, AS WELL AS A 'MASTER' WERE PROVIDED. SERVICE WAS PROMPT, EFFICIENT, AND STAFF WAS COURTEOUS. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY, AND WILL DEFINITELY USE AGAIN IF THEY ARE NEEDED.

THEY CAME OUT THE SAME DAY AND REPLACED OUR LOCKS FOR WHAT I CONSIDERED TO BE "A LOW PRICE". WE WERE HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK. ALL LOCKS CHANGED TO FIT ONE KEY.

THIS HAPPENED DURING A STORM AND I KNOW THEY WERE PRETTY BUSY. IT WAS ALSO AFTER HOURS, SO THE MAN WHO CAME WAS ON CALL. HE CAME IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER AND WAS VERY NICE AND UNDERSTANDING.

CHRIS BRENNAN WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. HE COMPLETED THE WORK SKILLFULLY AND QUICKLY. HE SEEMED TO BE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE PROCESS AND THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LOCKS AND COMPATIBILITY OF KEYS.

ABINGDON LOCKSMITH SENT OUT A PERSON IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER. THEY REPLACED THE LOCK AND FIXED THE PROBLEM VERY QUICKLY. I THINK ALL LOCKSMITHS ARE EXPENSIVE FOR THE SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME THEY ARE THERE BUT IT WAS A NECESSITY.
