Ruanos Landscaping

Hired for mulch/landscaping - Mr Ruanos came out, walked the property, gave me a quote, and shook my hand saying he would do the landscaping and mulch Thursday morning for $1,206. On Wednesday he called and said rain was expected Thursday and he would do it Friday morning. I said no problem. On Friday he did not show up and I called about noon. He said they were on their way and would be here shortly. In the afternoon, I called three times and left messages asking when he would be here. No callback until Saturday morning when I called and he said he got tied up Friday and would be here on Sunday. He called back after seeing one of my messages and confirmed for Sunday morning. He then sent a text message confirming again. Sunday he did not show and then sent a text “Be there tomorrow”. He did not respond to a text asking what time. Monday he did not show; I sent a text asking what time and he replied “Be there sono (sic)”. By 2pm it was obvious he was not going to come so we notified him by text that we had put our trust in him and he broke the trust and the contract and not to come back ever. I do not understand why he would do this, wasting our time for four days and failing to show. We went with the contractor we used last year (South River Landscape) and his price was slightly better and we know he will do a good job.
