We are your "other" family doctor. We turn what is sometimes seen as worrisome exam at the veterinary hospital into a comfortable visit with friends. Our patients are like family and we want to be there for them in anyway we can. Our promise is to provide the same quality care for your loved ones as you would want for yourself. We emphasize preventative care because we do not want to wait until a problem presents itself, but rather prevent a problem from occurring in the first place. In our experience, owners who are proactive in preventative care spend hundreds of dollars less than those who do not. It is cheaper to prevent a problem than to treat it. Greater South River Animal Hospital strongly feels that you and your pet deserve a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Incredible! It was during covid-19 crisis. They take exceptional sanitary and safety precautions and took fantastic and caring care of my kitty. This is, by far, the friendliest and most caring vet clinic I've ever experienced in 40 years of pet ownership in 5 states!!!!

It's been great especially with their newest doctor, Dr. Megan. She's very well versed in many types of medical treatments for dogs, and also listens to our concerns as well as answers our questions in a way that we can understand. I have two dogs, one of which has more health issues, and I'm extremely satisfied with the care that both dogs have received so far.

Excellent! Our pets have been patients in this practice for over 25 years. They have been treated with the upmost care and concern by the doctors and vet techs. The front office staff is always gracious and willing to assist in anyway possible. This is a well run animal hospital, with the patients and their owners for most in their purview

The staff here is wonderful.  We had three cats that hadn't been to the vet in awhile. They contacted the previous vet and had all of the records transferred.  One of our cats was very frightened and angry and they had several things for us to take home to help the cat calm down.  A great team.

My regular vet could not see the new dog for a week. We called Greater South River Animal Hospital and explained the circumstances, and they saw her our dog that same day. Dr. Dougherty spent time getting our new dog quiet and comfortable with the exam, and we were promptly notified of test results. Staff is very nice, and I am very impressed with this practice. We are staying with this veterinary hospital.

Our maltese is old and we take him to Greater South River Animal Hospital because he has two teeth missing, he is hard at hearing and is getting arthritis but he still thinks he is a puppy so Greater South River Animal Hospital check him out, make sure his shots are up to date, they are really good about taking care of him as far as his nervous condition goes. They make sure that if he is having separation anxiety, they give him something to help him with that and things of that nature. They call you to check on your pet the next day to see how the pet is doing. I didn't have my glasses on one time and I gave my dog 2 pills instead of one pill that you are supposed to break in half, I had thought they had said give him one and he acted a little funny a couple hours after I gave it to him, so I got worried and I called them and they reassured me that he will be fine, I shouldn't do it again. They are good like that. We use them regularly.

Reichart is not a bad vet, but not the best. We moved out west for two years and realized that there were better vets out there and are now considering to switch. The have two Dr.'s there that we have repeatedly seen: Dr. Gately-Dean and Doherty. Dr. Kately-Dean appears to be the smarter of the two but isn't as socially graceful of the two. The staff is extremely friendly and always punctual.

All of the animal hospital employees were very friendly and you can tell they love animals. They all handled Comet with care. They open early in the morning to make it convenient for dropping one's pet off before work. They called us as soon as he awoke from anesthesia and instructed us on his care upon picking him up. I would definitely use their service again.

I WOULD SAY VERY KIND AND CARING INDIVIDUALS. THE COMPANY IS A VERY CLEAN, AND COMFORTABLE PLACE. THE CARE FOR THE ANIMALS IS OUTSTANDING. THEY EXPLAIN WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, OR WHAT THEY ARE DOING. AS FAR AS THE SHOTS OR PILLS THEY ARE PROVIDING.

I TOOK MY DOG FOR A CHECK UP AND THE STAFF WAS VERY PLEASANT - THEY KEPT TO THE SCHEDULE, MEANING I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT LONG - THE VET SEEMED KIND AND PATIENT - THEY TRIED TO GIVE MY DOG A TREAT BUT HE WOULDN'T TAKE IT. THEY MADE SURE TO SCHEDULE A FOLLOW UP.
