Bethany Air is a locally owned and operated full service residential and commercial heating and air conditioning contractor. We have been in business for over 20 years thanks to our high standards for quality affordable work. Our technicians are experienced and trained to maintain, service, repair, and install all makes and models of air conditioning and heating equipment. Our technicians are taught and tested on their knowledge and capability with all aspects of HVAC service. We provide service in the greater DC area, including Washington DC, Prince George’s County, Anne Arundel County, the surrounding Maryland areas, and select portions of Virginia. I cannot recommend Bethany Air highly enough. They have been servicing the HVAC in my condo for almost 7 years, and I am a customer for life. Every single person with whom I’ve interacted there--from the people who handle the calls, to the technicians who visit my home, all the way up to the owner (who made a personal visit to work on an HVAC issue I was having)--has been professional, friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and courteous. The quality of their work is impeccable. They do everything they can to avoid unnecessary costs or repairs. They patiently explain the issues to ignorant customers like myself, answering all questions thoroughly. Having an HVAC emergency is stressful enough, but when I call Bethany Air, I am confident I will not have the added stress of dealing with a predatory company trying to take advantage of a desperate customer. Good help is so hard to find. I recommend this company to friends, family, neighbors—anyone in the DMV area in need of quality HVAC service.

Technician could not diagnose the problem. He said everything looked right and he spent considerable time trying to locate the issue. However, he thought it could be connected to an issue with our generator system and offered to speak with our generator company to try and solve it. He was very professional and polite and I felt like he knew his craft. I would definitely use this company again.

It went better than we expected. The technician thoroughly serviced our older unit in a prompt and professional manner, better than any other maintenance service provided before. The unit has not run this efficiently in years - also, our electric bill has been lower since Bethany serviced it!

This was at the beginning of one of our heat waves (the weekend before July 4th). The company who usually works on my condo building's air system told me the earliest they could show up was July 7! I checked out Angie's List and called Bethany Air Heating & Air Conditioning. The woman who answered could hear that I was freaking out and reshuffled some appointments and got a technician out that day. Unfortunately, my convector's set-up was not standard so the man had to call around before he found the correct motor. He then apologized for not being able to pick up the equipment before Monday. He then quoted a price for the replacement, said there would no change in price. I left a check for him and when I got home on Monday it was to a cool apartment! Bethany's technician was friendly, thorough, quick and cleaned up after himself. I can't say whether the price was the best because I have never murdered a convector motor before, but I can say I definitely received quality service for the price. As to the hot weekend, I packed up myself and the cats and checked into a hotel down the street.

I wasn't getting any heat. They were really good too. I give them a B, not for service, but they were late, and they didn't call me that they were late.They were thirty minutes late. Once they got here, and called them to get it started, the guy got here, and I literally like to walk out the door, and they showed up. An half hour late. It was an situation between the office and him not interacting, and then them not calling me, to let me know that he was running late. Outside of that, everything else was great. My dad was here, and I introduced him to my father. He asked him questions, and information on it, and they were great.

I cannot say enough good things about this company & its employees. When Bethany Air came to do my free estimate, I was very pleased to have someone who was highly educated and articulate. He provided an assessment and made recommendations based upon that assessment and my needs. The installers were prompt, clean and professional. Highly recommended.

Bethany Air came out same day and fixed the issue super fast, and very fair pricing. Both technicians were courteous and very professional. We had small children sleeping, and they were quiet as a mouse fixing the issue. It's the little things that set good technicians apart, and we appreciate the attention to detail and the reasonable pricing. Thank you for keeping customer service alive!

They were here last fall to do a cleaning. We have a service contract with them so they come out and make sure everything is running and working appropriately. They had a problem the last time they were here but we still used them and they do a good job so I don't know how to tell you on that one. Two times ago the experience was not good, the last time they came and fixed the problem and we've used them before, they actually installed the system for us.

The company representative came to my home promptly. He was very friendly and professional. An estimate was emailed to me that same day. The estimate was very competitive, by far the lowest price of the four estimates I'd received. The work began as scheduled and the installers were very pleasant and respectful of my home. The entire project was essentially completed in one day. The unit is very quiet and does an excellent job of cooling my home. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

The tech was very pleasent as well as the people I spoke with over the phone. I called because it was 96 degrees inside our house and explained we had a 1yr old. They made it out the very next day. My only issue was the cost of the repair. Crazy that to recharge a system cost 1/5 of a new unit. This is the second year we have had to recharge out system. The previous year when we questioned the tech about a leak he told us there wasn't one. So here we are this year dropping more money into it just to stay cool because we were unaware we had a leak and don't have the money to purchase a entire system. Which brings me to another problem. 4 yrs ago my fiancé had purchased a new inside unit. At that time she was never informed that they were phasing out the old refrigerant and it cost double the amount of the new type. So she had them put in the same thing that was there. Had that been explained she probably would have replaced with a new style unit. Part of that could be contributed to her not researching and finding the answer herself but also begin taken advantage of. Overall I feel like this company has a good reputation and will get the job done.
