Price And Son Septic Service

I called price and son after being quoted a price of 350.00 for a pump out and date of four days from the time I called from a Competitor.I called MrPrice about 9am and he had other clients before me but promised to get to me soon as possible.He charged 200.00 and arrived at 12:45 and the service was Quick and courteous and I saved 150.00.I will gladly use them in the future.

While not the most sociable, neither when answering the phone to schedule service nor once on scene, Mr. Price was quite friendly once I initiated conversation. I am not much of a conversationalist either, but I did want to know about the tank and how it looked and the level, since we just bought the house the previous year and I was uncertain about how frequently it should be pumped. He answered my questions plus had a bit of friendly conversation, so I was happy in that respect. They did not make a mess or tear up the yard (granted there is no digging to gain access to our tank because of how it is set up and the high erosion of our sandy soil).
I feel like I was slightly overcharged, but I'm not concerned since we won't have to pump again until we go to sell the house in 4 years.

Called McMullen Septic, out of Seaford, first, due to the high reviews. ** Be advised, I called them at 10pm Sunday night and left a message. They called me back within a half hour!! They said they do not travel down to Snow Hill and said they do not go that far into Salisbury. Just so you know they charge $195. They suggested I try Price and Son. I asked about their quality of work and they said that he was pretty good, from what he heard. I called Price and Son right after I hung up with McMullen and left a message. I did not hear back from them by 8:30am so I called and they advised me that it would be between 12pm and 1pm, the cost would be $200 and he would call when on the way. At 1:30pm, I get a call saying he had 1 more job to do and then he would be there. Note: the call was 30 minutes past the window he gave me. At 2:30, I get a call advising he was on my road. Once on site he was not really very sociable. I was not impressed with his customer service skills at all. He was quick with the job, that was the only thing that impressed me, besides the cost. He even asked, do you want a receipt? Are you kidding me!!! The job only took 30 minutes to do. I can not blame McMullen for their recommendation. Price and Son did do good work, they just sucked in customer service, meaning... social interaction with the customer and punctuality. If you live within McMullen's area, use them!!! My phone experience with them was above and beyond the call of duty. I will be trying another septic company next time or offer to pay an extra $25-$50 to McMullen to get them to come.

I called Price and Son and the truck was on my property within an hour. The service was prompt, complete and professional. Note: I am not sure of the date. It has been about a year ago from May 2012 when this review was written.

MR. PRICE CAME RIGHT AWAY AND WAS CAREFUL NOT TO DIG UP ALOT OF MY YARD. MY MOTHER HAD HERS DONE AND THEY RUINED HER YARD. I WILL USE MR PRICE'S SERVICES IN THE FUTURE.
