CRONSHAW CARPENTRY

I am as addicted to Cronshaw Carpentry as Michael Jackson was to cosmetic surgery. This is the second series of jobs I hired Cronshaw to do. I demand attention to detail and skill at a reasonable price. I don't know anyone who delivers that kind of value better than Scott. Each job has gone the same way: I see such great work and the efficiency with which Scott and his crew work that I keep adding to the list of things I want him to do. Everything he has done, including some things of his own design, has turned out great. I am afraid to stop because I know I will never find anyone else who delivers the same quality for anything resembling what Scott charges. I would add that one of my friends, who owns a massive construction company, hires Scott to work on his homes. I don't have my friend's resources by a long shot, but Scott treats me with the same level of concern. My home looks great and is very solid thanks to Scott.

A year after Scott and his team completed two major renovation projects (home and barn), I hired him to raise the roof on my home, add insulation, install new plywood sheathing, add ridge vents, and reshingle the roof. I am thrilled with the outcome. I now have a 30-year, hurricane-ready roof that I expect will save me a thousand dollars a year in heating and A/C expense.

I am a demanding person, and I hate to waste money.  In other words, I am difficult to please.  I can tell you that because of the quality of the work Scott delivered, because of exceptional communication, and a strong feeling that I was getting good value, what started as a minor rehab of an old barn turned into $120,000 worth of work.  I can honestly say - but don't tell him this - that I happily paid every invoice.  That is saying something coming from me.
As for specifics, I appreciated that he did what he said he was going to do:  he showed up for appointments on time; listened intently to my needs, never superimposing his will but willingly offering suggestions.  His people were organized and courteous; they cleaned up after themselves and were sensitive to my space.  They worked hard and made good progress every day.  They were trustworthy.  I was never concerned about giving them the keys to my home and leaving for a week at a time.  They know what they are doing.  Scott has access to all manner of subcontractors who he did not hesitate to bring in if he thought it would save me money or provide a better outcome.  Examples were a concrete contractor, a team of painters, a company that builds custom window screens, and a kitchen specialist.  He worked seamlessly with the subcontractors such that I had a single point of contact, which was great.
Scott has earned my highest recommendation.
