He came that day, before the storm, and dropped the tree in a fairly narrow space. I was surprised and delighted that people still worked that way. He's coming back to take out five trees to give my garden some more sun. He gave me a very fair price.

They were very good and reliable. They were reasonable and we were satisfied with the price. They thoroughly cleaned up the property when they were finished.

Mr. Harold Spence and his crew did a wonderful job. We knew for a long time that this tree work needed to be done, but were afraid of the anticipated cost. Spence's Tree Service handled smaller jobs for us in the past, so we asked Mr. Spence to give us an estimate. The figures he provided were more than fair considering all the work that had to be done. We had maple trees along the street that were probably 20 - 40 feet tall, as well as a small plum tree in the backyard. After contactiing the utility company to identify and mark underground power lines, one of the maple trees was cut down because it was infested with pests and had begun to rot; and the other maple was pruned to allow air to flow through the branches and to make it healthier. We also agreed that the small plum tree was beginning to look a little shabby, so it also had to be removed. All other (18) trees involved gigantic 60+ feet leyland cypresses, of which, (9) trees had to be cut down and (9) trees had to be topped out so they would hold up better during high wind conditions. If that weren't enough, these (18) cypress trees were all in our backyard where the big trucks were unable to navigate. So the crew had to haul all the wood and brush to the street for disposal.
Spence's Tree Service handled every phase of the job in a skillful and timely manner. The stumps were ground for the trees that were removed. While brush and debris were removed from the entire job site, small wood chips that remained were raked into neat rows or piles for use as mulch or any other purpose we desired. The crew was friendly and respectful of our property. They were also mindful of the traffic flow down our dead-end street. It took a couple days to finish the job which seemed quite reasonable considering how much work had to be done. Mr. Spence was personally involved in overseeing the job and he was concerned that we were happy with the final result. We certainly plan to hire Spence's Tree Service in the future.
