Hardware & Home Improvement Stores
Yes, I recommend this pro

I love this place!
Why spend valuable time wandering up and down the aisles at Lowe's or Home Depot looking for a thingamabob or doo-hickey and there's no one there to ask for help.  Yes, once you identify the proper term for the thingamabob/doo-hickey, you will likely get it cheaper at the big box store; but it will have taken you several minutes to find a sales associate who has no clue what you want or tells you that they don't have what you're looking for.
So, my advice is to go to Poplar Place Hardware, or any 'Mom & Pop" place.  Even if you don't know what to call what you need, they will know what you're talking about and offer you good advice, to boot.  So I consider  the premium I paid over big box store prices a well-spent consulting fee.
