Queen Electric

I’ll never allow them into my home again. They were contracted by my home warranty to replace sparking outlets. Their tech came to my home, checked 3 of 11 outlets that I identified and concluded they all needed to be upgraded and he’d call back when the work could be completed. The tech reported to my warranty that there were no issues with any of the 11 outlets and that I requested they be upgraded. The way he wrote the order implied that I requested an upgrade and he never even mentioned the sparking outlets. Cosmetic upgrades obviously are not covered so they did no work. He never called back or followed up. This company collected the service fee and basically made an effort to do nothing for the fee. My assumption is that there practice is to look for a way to get the fee and persuade the customer to pay out of pocket. I got a second opinion from Certified Electric and they completed the work so my family can safely use the electric outlets in my home

Very good guy, reasonable price, timely, and honest.

American Home Shield (AHS) sent Queen Electric to my property to repair a malfunction dimmer/light switch.. They never fixed anthing. They consistently identify a major problem with the existing wiring not covered by AHS and state the requested repair cannot be ade until the upgrade is completed. I'm not the only person they have done this to (read other reviews not on this site). I suspect they are using AHS to farm for higher paying work. I cannot recommend this company for to it's highly questionable business practices. I subsequently hired my own electrician outside of the home warranty company who came out and fixed the problem in less than a half hour.

Queen Electric tried to turn a simple light switch rewiring job into a major home repair that my home warranty company would not cover. This was a simple light switch repair job for a rental property that I needed fixed ASAP but it turned out to be a MAJOR HEADACHE!!! I finally got my deductible refunded and I hired my own electrician who QUICKLY fixed the problem. The job was so simple he charged me less than my home warranty's deductible. I cannot recommend Queen Electric for anything. They have poor customer service and HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE business practices.

Very well. Would definitely hire again. Am thinking of having some outdoor security lighting installed. Will definitely contact Mr. Queen for an estimate.

I was impressed with the professionalism and the cordial attitude and they were on time and the job was completed in a short period of time. I had been told by others that the job could not be done because of parts no longer available. However, that was not true and Mr. Queen completed the job without replacing the original housing. He did a Awesome job. I would recommend this company highly and I would recommend them to my friends and co-workers and I will definitely use them again. Thanks for recommending them.

I have used the company off and on over the last few years. They are a great company. The electricians are very professional, courteous and easy to work with. They are punctual and trustworthy. They do good quality work and are very honest. They tell you what needs done and why. It is very easy to schedule a service whenever I need.

Mr. Queen returned my Friday call and made an appointment for me for Monday morning. He showed up as scheduled, promptly fixed our line, cleaned up completely and left. He was efficient, courteous and professional. I will definitely call him again with our electrical needs.

Overall it went great, Darrell is very professional and courteous. the great thing is that his company isn't far from my house so it all worked out. My mom is a 70 yr old retiree and so she is mainly the one who deals with contractors when they come to the house to do work. They treated her with kindness and respect and for that I am grateful. They even left some plastic behind so we could cover our furniture when the drywall people come to patch the holes. That was very nice of him. I would definitely recommend Queen electric to any one of my friends.

I called Darrryl on Tuesday and he completed the work on Friday. We had scheduled the appointment for Saturday, but because I did not work on Friday, he came out a day earlier. I had several old non functioning wires removed. I had an outlet replaced and some loose wiring in a switch. He was able to complete the job in 45 minutes. He called ahead of time to let me know that he was on the way. I was treated like an custom would like to be treated.

Darrell the technician came and looked at my electrical problem, and on closer inspection pointed out more problems which need to be rectified at a later date. He not only completed the task in a timely manner, but left the premises clean an tidy removing all material he had used or removed. Darrell came and immediately recommended that the task was not a simple fix it job, but explained what was required to install a new power out let in an upstairs room. He explained the different problems and why he need to take each step to ensure not only compliance under the electrical code, but also options for me to consider for him to complete the task. We finally settled on a plan and with his assistant they worked on the inside and outside as the power box was in the basement 3 floors down and ensured minimal disruption to the household and during the work Darrell did encountered further electrical problems, done by a previous contractor, and explained why they were all in breach of the electrical code. He also ensured I was under no illusion he was the man to rectify these problems, but clearly made that these problems not only made his job harder but gave all qualified electricians a bad name. I sort legal advise and was advised that we need to have the whole house checked by a certified electrician at some stage, as the wiring in the house is technically unsafe. This would not of come to light if what I considered a easy electrical job had not be checked by a professional operator and Queens Electric has proven this. Queens Electric performed well above the requirement of them but have given myself the peace of mind as many factors which have been happening with the wiring in the house, has finally been answered and why the problems have been happening. Queen Electric get my vote of honesty and thanks for there was no intent on their part to drum up business but clearly are professional enough to show and warn the consumer of shoddy workmanship done by others who do not respect the ethical code required of their profession. It also now explains why it is better to use a professional and certified technician than someone who claims they are, it pays to check their credentials, before allowing them to commence any work for you.
