I had a very positive experience with Mr. Johnson. He's a pleasure to deal with, explained the options to me clearly, and did a fantastic job. The roof looks great and the 40 year shingles will last longer than I will! He cleaned up well, too. There was very little debris around the house after he was done. This was my third positive experience with Mr. Johnson. About 10 ago I thought I had a horrible leak and called Mr. Johnson the first time after a neighbor recommended him. He replaced a neoprene collar around a bathroom exhaust pipe and only charged me $125. The house has been dry since then. Then five years ago he came to give me an estimate when I was worried that the roof was getting old. He told me the roof had five years left in it and only requested an optional $25 for gas and his time - which I happily paid. So after those first two times when he could have sold me a lot more and charged me a a lot more, I knew I could trust him. Thus I recommend you use Mr. Johnson with confidence. He's a great roofer and honest, too. He won't try to sell you anything you don't truly need.

The work was performed at the agreed upon date and time and at the quoted price. I have had no issues since the repair and the repair area is not visible.

Tom was very pleasant to deal with and his price was one third the amount quoted by another roofer. All of the work was done well. I was fully satisfied.

He actually came within an hour of me calling him, which given the circumstances, was practically astounding, especially since he interrupted another job to do so.  I didn't either bother with an estimate, since it was an emergency situation.  He fixed all the problems within an hour or 2 (didn't keep track of the time).  Then, even more astoundingly, in my view he attempted to UNDERCHARGE me for these emergency repairs.  I had to actually force him to accept what I felt to be a more reasonable amount, given the overall circumstances.  This is not the kind of experience you expect in 2016.  There are other contractors in all fields who are expert in their craft, but I haven't run across any others this honorable and decent.  At least not in about 40 years.

He was very responsive, did a very thorough job on looking at our roof and giving us a bid that was competitive with everybody else. There's one minor problem which he came back and fix. It's really probably wasn't his, it was part of something else, it wasn't part of the contract. I would give him high marks on everything. He was one of the lowest bidders, within a few dollars of everybody else and some folks were twice as much. It looks great and everything is to our satisfaction. They did it in a day, you can't beat that. I can't think of nothing that wasn't top-notch. referred to other people.

Very responsive & professional.  I contacted Tom on a Sunday after the rain cover on our metal furnace exhaust chimney blew off in high winds.  Tom replied right away and arranged an appointment for the next day.  He worked in very cold weather, wind, and snow to find a solution before more snow rolled in -- all with a smile.  Will use his company for future roofing services, and I'd recommend without hesitation. 

High integrity ,very professional, no reservation I would recommend.

This contractor was by far one of the very BEST contractors we have ever hired. His price was very competitive, but the thing that

clinched the deal was Tom's attitude and helping us with associated problems at no cost. He started on time, installed the roof

in accordance with the contract, cleaned up the debris very well and was very careful of not hurting all the plants around the house. He did not require a deposit to start and did not want to get paid until he completed painting the utility collars that he suggested be done. The final cost was as per contract plus $75 for extra wood to replace bad wood found during the roofing application. Tom also was on the job himself to assure the roofing was being done correctly however all his workers worked very diligently at their tasks.

I would enthusiastically endorse Tom's roofing firm to everyone needing any type of roofing repair.

So, I am picky. I have to get the: best price, and the best product and service. I buy and sell foreclosures, and contract services from a lot of companies. I have learned: there is little relationship between price and quality of workmanship.

This past summer I bought a new foreclosure, that had some roof problems. Looked up roofing on Angies list. Saw all the ready-to-buy 'deals' for replacing vent boots and shingles. These 'deals' stink (e.g are too expensive). This guy did very good work, lots of free stuff, and priced the job at $250. So, I hired him, and then inspected the work, before I paid, because and quot;you don't expect what you don't inspectand quot;.

Bottom line, very good work, very good price, very honest and on-time. What's not to like???

I should have mentioned that I inadvertently overpaid Mr. Johnson (failing to remember the 150$ earnest money deposit that I had put down before the job) and he sent back the deposit check. You can't go wrong with Mr. Johnson.

He personally went on the roof (4 level townhome) and inspected the roof, vent and collars, He noticed some items that needed repair and provided a quick estimate of costs. He was on time and was very professional. I will definitely recommend him to other clients.

Work was completed in a timely manner and cleanup was thorough.

Work was completed in two days with very little disruption to my families normal activities.

Price was lower than other estimate and done on time, no problems and entire area was cleaned up better than before job started. We will need to replace the entire roof soon, and will use without question for that job. They also made some other recommendations which we are considering.

Job was well done. Did exactly what he stated and on time.

This is the second time I used Tom to make repairs.

He was prompt and easy to deal with. He seemed very knowledgable. His price was very reasonable and considerably lower. A lot of contractors didn't even return my call but he was considerate enough to. I thought he was very professional and he did a high quality job.
