The whole project went very well! We love our space. We really got both value and quality with Steve. Even after the project, they were very responsive. Steve also gave us great suggestions to our original design and we are extremely happy. I love the white exposed wood with beams on deck. We originally wanted a ceiling and he convinced us to leave it exposed whereby saving money. I’m writing this review after two years!! So that should say enough! (Pictures attached)

Steve was very professional throughout the entire process. It was seamless and very quick from start to finish. They take care of the design, permits and execution without any hassle to homeowners. We love our new space and all our neighbors are loving the work done as well. We have sent a few referrals and will continue to do so!

Steve was great to work with, and his two-man crew with Ivan as the foreman was excellent. They were very diligent and punctual throughout the project, and kept an extremely clean work area. The deck is beautiful and we are so glad we went with the Trex composite decking and vinyl PVC rails. They handled all of the permits and inspections as required and it was reassuring that everything was going per the plans and County Code. I would recommend Steve and his crew to anyone needing a deck rebuild.

We are thrilled with the end result of this deck. The entire ECS team is a group of top-notch professionals. From our initial meeting where Steve showed us examples in a large book of successful jobs, to the design process where he listened to our needs, showed us samples and collaborated on a final design. When I went to our HOA meeting to ensure the job would get approved, Steve was there - full documentation in-hand - and proved to be a familiar face to the HOA. It was easy for them to approve because he was a known quantity. My property has some unique historic restrictions on it and we feared permit challenges. Steve and his team did an excellent job preparing the permit applications and they were approved on the first try. When it came time to build the deck, the team was clearly very experienced and knew all the tricks to ensure the project came together without incident. I'm a fairly handy person, and I had considered doing the job myself. After looking at the results after just two days of work, I knew I could never have come close to these guys. As I look at the finished product today, I know I made the right choice. This deck is a perfect extension of the classic style of my home and is so solidly built that I know it will be there for decades. We're thankful to have hired ECS - they've been top-notch across the board and I'd definitely hire them again.

This was a large project. A Fiberon Deck (composite) and Flagstone patio. The craftsmanship of the project was 5 stars. The employees were extremely friendly, punctual, and amazing craftsman. I do not have one complaint during the 2 month process. Their open communication was helpful and I did not expect the final product to be so grand. This has added to the overall enhancement to our house not to mention years of fun for our family. I strongly recommend Economy Craftsman Services.

Economy Craftsmen Services just built us the deck we've always dreamed of having, replacing the 35-year-old worn down structure we'd previously had with a beautiful new 20' x 10' Deck with a Fiberon Floor and Wood Railing (that also features a Fiberon Cap) . Steve Sweeney was absolutely great, providing us with carefully thought through options that enabled us to make the best choices throughout. The workmen were consummate Craftsmen -- meticulous and hard working. This company fully lives up to its Economy Craftsmen name.

It was a pleasure working with EC Services. They work with us patiently on choosing the materials for the deck, walking through the permitting process, and setting up a work schedule. The crew was punctual and professional. The deck looks great and is well-crafted. Will definitely hire again

EC Services did an excellent job on my new deck. They really excelled at the attention to details that other companies didn't discuss which helped them stand out from their competitors. Steve did an excellent job helping us with the design and wasn't afraid to give us his opinion.

Steve Sweeney and his crew were punctual, clean and experienced as they rebuilt  and expanded our screen porch.  Steve was very thorough as he explained how he would perform the work at our house.  He was extremely professional and responsive to us during the entire process.  The on site crew was friendly and professional as well.  Their pride in their craftsmanship was evident everyday and they kept a clean work place and tidied every evening before they left.  We were apprised of every step along the way and found being a part of the process very comforting. The project was delivered on time and any "punch list" details addressed immediately.   We highly recommend EC-Services.

Steve was very detailed oriented and made the whole process super smooth. Edgar and his team were dependable and did a great job. We had several changes on the deck and patio and they were very accommodating. We highly recommend them!!

Steve Sweeney was fantastic from start to finish.  The work crew was amazing, too... very precise workmanship and made sure to clean up every day.  We are thrilled with our new deck and would highly recommend this company!  They totally understand what customer service means!  : )

We spend as much time outdoors as possible and needed to replace a deck that we had enjoyed for many years.  We wanted to add a stone patio and wall as well as a gazebo that would give us some needed shade....and we wanted it to all work seemlessly together for entertaining as well as our own enjoyment.  It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end of the project to work with Steve Sweeney, Edgar, Luis, Gonzalo and assistants.   Steve Sweeney was prompt in returning my initial phone call and all other calls/emails as the project progressed. Steve listened to what I wanted and came up with two designs, revised and made a third and then took a drawing I'd reworked and improved upon it to get us the final design. The project started as discussed and as it unfolded I needed to make a few changes which included adding more lighting, extending the stone seating wall, making the stone step wider, etc. as the project progressed and Steve, Luis (the man who did outstanding stone work) and Gonzalo who lead the construction team and is a master carpenter, were fabulous and willing to listen, give me their opinions, and make the changes necessary for an outstanding result. The work space was left clean and neat every day.  The final result is an outdoor living space we will enjoy for years to come.   The project finished in the time frame Steve had outlined. 

The old deck was falling apart and probably not up to code. Two summers ago, I had tried to treat it with a Deck Protect product, which peeled off within six months (instead of the promised 10 years). We decided to add a screened porch so we could be outside without the bugs. Steve Sweeney came to our house, checked out the site, and provided several options based on cost and appearance. He was forthright and helped me figure out what our prioriites were. I cannot say enough about how helpful he was without being pushy. The crews were on time every morning, let me know when they weren't coming (rain), and Steve kept me constantly informed regarding the progress of the work, and what to expect. He also helped arrange for an electrician when the person we usually use retired. And everything was cleaned up at the end of the project! You would not believe how great the deck looks, with loads of nice extera touches (wide ledge for drinks on top of the railing, solar lights on bannisters next to the steps). I truly cannot find a single thing remotely negative about the whole experience.

Steve Sweeny was great to work with and his crew was efficient and polite.  He envsioned the options for the deck quickly and helped us figure out what we wanted.  His was not the least expensive quote we got but we sensed that he would do a quality job - and he did.  There were a few bumps along the way and Steve was always on top of them, explaining the problem and the solution which he then carried out.  I would use Steve for deck work again in a minute but I doubt I will need him for sometime to come.

Before I begin to explain the high level
of detail and skill that was applied to our patio, I should give a bit of
background information. We have a townhouse with an HOA and needed to get
approval on our project before beginning. We needed to have our fence installed
by a separate company than the patio installer. Our application to the HOA for
the fence around our property was partially approved, so we needed to have our
fence installed on two separate dates, the first with the side fences adjacent
to both neighbors lots and the rear fence at a later date because it wasn't
approved with the first HOA application.
We selected economy craftsmen primarily because Steve Sweeney, the sales and
project manager, had consistent and timely correspondence with us. Other
factors that helped us decide to select him was his reasonable pricing, his
experience and recommendations with his other customers in our community, and
his willingness to prepare the application and work with the property
management company and the HOA to get our approval on both the fence
application and the patio application. Although it was not required of him to
attend the HOA meeting to help us get approval on our application, it was quite
helpful and exceeded our expectation for the level of service from a
contractor.
Because the fence needed to be done in two separate installations, Steve told
us he would come back to make the adjustments to the patio before and after the
rear fence was installed to ensure that the fence installation would not
disrupt the structural integrity of our patio. The side fences went in first,
then the pavestone patio installation began. During the entire process of the
installation, Steve was in constant contact with us through email and by making
regular site visits to ensure that construction was going as planned. Every
once in a while, an issue or a concern would arise, and whenever I reached out
to Steve, he made sure to listen to my concerns and would either consult with
the workers to make the appropriate adjustment/correction, or he would explain
the reasoning behind certain construction procedures to reassure me that the
work was actually being done correctly and in the best interest of the
structural integrity of the patio. When the patio was fully installed, Steve
had his team add trim to the bottom of the fencing to accommodate for the
necessary slope for water run-off (one fence was higher above grade, and the
other was slightly below grade, due to the natural slope in the preexisting
landscaping). He even had his team go the extra mile and add trim to the bottom
of the fence on my neighbors side to ensure that the appearance of the fence
would be nice on their side too. A couple of weeks later, we received approval
on the rear fence, and had it installed. Steve made arrangements to have his
team be there on the same day to temporarily remove the pavers for the fence
posts and cut and replace those pavers after the fence was installed.
I am very detail oriented, and can sometimes overly scrutinize a contractor's
work. Steve was very responsive and very reassuring to me, and in spite of my
overly scrutinizing the patio, it looks amazing, down to the last detail. It is
without reservation that I recommend you hire Steve Sweeney and Economy
Craftsmen to do the job.

I'd only comment on the things that I have comparison about.  Only with the comparison would the rating ("good", "bad") be meaningful and relatively objective.
What impressed me most was Steve Sweeney's patience.  He had more than one designs for us to start with.  During the design process, my wife and I kept changing the features, such as size, shape, the number of pillars, whether to add a pergolas, etc.  Steve was always patient and came up with the revisions promptly.
Steve was knowledgeable, yet humble, and he always listened attentively and patiently, unlike the people from two other companies we dealt with earlier.
Compared with other companies, the price quote was not most expensive, nor least expensive.  Acceptable to us.
Overall, we like our deck very much.

I contacted EC Services for an estimate on a new composite deck.  We received a prompt reply from Steve Sweeney who met with us and listened to our needs/wants and also gave his expert advice.  Within a week he drafted a couple of deck designs for us and we ultimately made modifications to those designs to suit us.  Steve also helped us immensely with making choices for the deck based on quality and cost of different materials.  Steve obtained all approvals and work was started soon thereafter.  Ivan, who primarily built the deck, was also responsive to our questions and modifications during the building process.  Steve and Ivan's attention to detail was impeccable throughout the planning and building process.  We were are extremely happy with our deck.  I would highly recommend them and would definitely have them do work for us again.

We are very pleased with the quality of the work. The design was great and we love the new porch and walkway. Steve Sweeney was very accessible throughout the project. He emailed to "check in" regularly as well as visited the project to see that everything was progressing as planned. He designed the new walkway after carefully listening to our ideas and made suggestions to enhance the functionality.  Steve was very easy to work with and answered all of our questions and explained the process thoroughly. The masonry crew was exceptional and really went the extra mile to get it just right. The carpentry crew was equally dedicated and efficient. The project was completed in three days which was ahead of schedule. We couldn't be happier with the transformation.

Well, EC Services were very good. First Steve Sweeney, the sales man who we made the deal with, was really a great person. He is very clear, courteous and very professional. They did an excelent job and we were also very much happy about the pricing, which was less than what we were asked to pay by others.

Hard working and dedicated! Edgar was involved from start to finish and brought a very skilled team. At each stage they had the inspector there the same day. They were incredibly patient when I realized halfway through that there had been a miscommunication with some of the materials, they didn't hesitate to delay a couple of days to get what I wanted and realize my vision. The craftsmanship is extraordinary and they added some beautiful elements that had not even been discussed, even adding solar caps to the stair rail posts which weren't charged for, but look fabulous. I can't believe EC-Services hasn't been added to Angie's :its before now, I got a glowing  from a previous happy customer before hiring them.

I have a 25 year old home and have contracted for numerous projects (Roofing, A/C service, Pest Control, Patio work). I have found my experience with EC Services to be the most stress free. I would highly recommend them.
