He did not want to provide an itemized bill. Initially wanted 900 for job because he thought it would run longer than it did. He billed for two men at 75/hr. He rounded up to 3 hr. That justified 450 of the total. He charged 150 for approximately 30 feet of 1 gauge wire, the outlet and the breaker.
Although his men arrived exactly on time and worked diligently, they did mistakenly put a hole in the drywall in the garage, which they covered. They were polite and seemed to do a good job.
What did concern me was that Mike Jeannette did not give me an itemized bill, and claimed that he couldn't because he wasn't sure how much wire was actually required (?!). When I told him they were there for only 2.5 hours, he did adjust his initial informal quote of 800-900 for the job. His initial quote assumed his men would have to dig a passageway to garage, which they did not.
If you hire them, ask for an itemized estimate and quote, and then insist on an itemized bill at payment time.
