Hillside Lawn Service

Someone referred us to Hillside and have been with them for years. We saw a huge improvement in the first few years with them, but as time went on, our grass looked so bad, they there really was not a point to continue with this service. We even referred our neighbors to this company. Unfortunately, they also felt their grass was looking worse as time went on. We were both with immaculate lawns and it was extremely hard for both of us to continue to watch our grass literally dying. We have a huge pool with pavers and all and so is our neighbors, so there is not too much to our lawns. We have a lot of gatherings and nothing is worse than to have our guest come through our back gate to walk in to multiple patches of dead grass everywhere. We do have a dog and actually trained him to urinate to other areas in our lawn just to see if this was because of our dog, but it continued even after this. Our neighbor quit his lawn service over a year or so ago. I tried hard to hand in there with this company, but when you call to say how unhappy you are with their service and you would like to stop service, and then your hear back from the receptionist. Ok, I will update your account as closed. Nothing more!! Sorry but Customer Service is 1st over everything when it comes to keep a successful business. We never complained the entire time with this service until this time. So sad... Word of Mouth is so important... Last thing, what was our biggest concern, is that when completing treatments on our lawn and knowing that a lawn had multiple patches of dead grass, which did not in the previous years did not seem to be any concern to your staff. These dead patches happened for the past two years.

Hillside responded to my original email quickly and followed up with an estimate. Cost if very reasonable and additional savings was offered if paid in full. The rain delayed the first treatment but at the first sign of clearing, it was completed. Overall, this has been a great experience and the employees of Hillside are very helpful. I would highly recommend their services.

Kieth from Hillside came out and treated my property. He was not told my property lines and made his best guess. I e-mailed Dave Ewell that all my property was not treated, since Dave charged me for the first treatment. I played e-mail tag with Dave. Hillside was notiofied that my property was larger then he first thought. Keith shared that he played phone tag with Dave and received one e-mail.I decided to take things into my own hands and I called Hillside on 9/13 and talked with Keith. He came out the next day and walked my property line with me. Keith treated the remaining areas as well as the back left of my yard where 3 properties meet. I was very pleased with his response and extra area he treated.
I have decided to work directly with Keith and Hillside and leave the middle-man out.

One of my neighbors saw the work that they had done on my yard, and they too started using them. Actually, I don't see them most of the time when they come, but I believe they will set things up initially. They are very professional. They come and do the job and leave a bill in the box. On one occasion, they had told that they would come at a certain time, but they didn't come. Then, we had to call them back and also had to wait a week to a week and a half. I would use this company again in the future.

I was pleased with the service. My phone calls were returned promptly, and the work was scheduled soon thereafter. The young men who came out were pleasant, informative and did a great job. The removal of the bamboo was hard work, but they managed to get it done. I will definitely contact Hillside again when I need yard work done.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS VERY POSITIVE. THE SERVICE WAS ALWAYS COMPLETED ON TIME AND THE SERVICE PROVIDER WAS PROFESSIONAL. SIGNS WERE PLACED ON THE LAWN WHEN THE LAWN TREATMENT WAS APPLIED. A 5% DISCOUNT WAS APPLIED WHEN WE PAID IN ADVANCE OF THE TREATMENT.
