Chris responded very quickly to my request for an estimate and scheduled the work within a week of me accepting. The cost was the middle estimate of the 3. He was punctual and meticulous and my exterior looked like no one had been there when he left. He did an exceptional job. I plan on using him in the future.

We've had Chris re-do basically 3/4ths of our house. He's done it all and done it to perfection. We get compliments all of the time (just got another one today, in fact). We can't say enough about his integrity, work ethic, talent and professionalism. We keep a running "Chris List" and have him out 3 to 4 times a year for handyman days. We highly recommend Boyles Home Services.

Chris Boyle did some of the work, but he also brought in another contractor. Both were great.
We were not interested in spending a lot of $ to redo an ugly basement bathroom that is rarely used, and we found Boyle's price acceptable. The reno services included: gutting most of the bathroom, removing and replacing a one piece vanity/sink, removing tile floor and installing mosaic marble floor, removing and installing new exhaust fan and lighting fixture, all new faucets and shower fixtures, wall patching and painting, removing a glued on mirror and installing a new wall anchored one, replacing towel racks, etc. They also removed a tall double cabinet so we could paint them, and reinstalled them. We kept our old toilet and shower stall.
We purchased all our own products, and many of the things that they needed from the hardware store..again, keeping costs down. Of course there were a few glitches, but all were resolved satisfactorily. For example, the vanity we purchased did not fit exactly with the current drain pipe. They wanted to move the pipes but we didn't want the added expense, so there is a two inch gap between the left side of the vanity and the wall, which is visually pleasing to me but required that they take the vanity back out, remove the now exposed half wall baseboard and reinstall a new wall of baseboard and the vanity. I could tell they didn't really like my decision, but they did it and I am happy with the results.
As an example of their professionalism: Our old exhaust fan had a 3 inch duct connection, but all new fans are 4 inch. I suggested a converter I'd seen on line and in fact bought a fan that came with a converter. Chris was concerned about the functionality and changed out the ducts instead of using the converter. Extra work, but not an extra charge. To be fair, we had built in a little contingency for the potential of mold but thank goodness we did not have any!
They were timely and worked long hours, always willing to discuss the project, cleaned up well. We're very satisfied with the results and look forward to having them back to tackle other issues around the home.

Chris came out to fix some drywall that had to be cut by a plumber making some repairs. The work went well, and it was easy to schedule over email. I like that he does not have a minimum number of hours, as some handymen do.

When Chris opened the wall he found a MUCH bigger problem than anticipated. He didn't feel confident on that work and we decided together to do a minimum amount of work to close things back up and then move to a professional water proofer. I appreciated his honestly and willingness to not do a job!

Chris is pleasant, personable, and efficient. He cleans up after himself. He knows what he's doing. (I physically can't do these jobs myself, but I know how they should be done.) The previous handyman I tried said you couldn't put a grab bar on a tiled wall. Chris said it just needed a special drill bit, which he went out and got, and he did it. I thought the cost was quite reasonable especially considering he had to go out to get the drill bit. I have plans to hire him in the future and I would (and will) recommend him to anyone.

Chris Boyles and his staff did a WONDERFUL job installing our new kitchen floor! We were very impressed. We interviewed a couple of different people, and his estimate was the most reasonable, he had excellent references, and he was just so nice. He pulled up our old floor, moved all of the appliances, and put down the new floor and shoe molding. The floor looks fabulous - it changed the look of our whole kitchen. And they told us that they would finish the job in 2 days - and they actually stayed past 8 pm one night to finish the job on time. They were really wonderful to work with - we will definitely use them again for our next home repair project and are happy to recommend them. Thank you to our Angie's List community for helping us find them!

Chris started exactly when promised and the painter and carpenter he brought with him were extremely professional and more than competent. The work they did was meticulous and even the community association and neighbours remarked at the outstanding results. Our home went from a patchwork of colors to a beautiful single tone with lovely contrasting trim. They really knew their business.

I have used Boyles Home Services for several projects but as just joined Angie's list my review is late. This latest time I needed to repair my ceiling and wall cracks in the master bedroom. Chris Boyles and his assistant's work was superb. Their attention to detail was such that it was impossible to tell there had ever been any damage. I have used their services for wood siding replacement and exterior painting and have always been pleased with the results.

Chris has been working on my house for years. I make a list of things that need done and then I call him and he comes over. He is 100% trustworthy. He has and keeps a key to my house so that he can work while I am at work, so I don't lose any time from work. He has created a new room out of a patio for me, painted almost the entire house in stages, remodeled my master bath and kitchen bath. He replaced the carpet in my dinning room with wood floor. Installed a new back and front door. Moved my attic door from the hallway into a closet.
During all of these projects, I have never had anything but a great experience with Chris.
He has one or two very nice men that help him, but you always get Chris too.
He is soft spoken, professional, experienced and dependable. I already mentioned that he is trustworthy.
Everything he has done for me has been top quality and has lasted and lasted.
I recommend him without reservation.
