England Landscaping, LLC

Seth (England Landscaping LLC) provided us with a quote for $375 on May 12th to remove the tree after he had come out to the property to view the damage. He also provided us with a quote for $100 to mow the lawn. In conversation, he hinted to my wife that this was contingent upon cutting twice a month. I accepted the tree removal estimate and spoke with him on the phone about the fact that we could only afford a lawn mowing once a month. However, my wife has other projects since I am disabled and we would pay him for debris removal and these other landscaping projects, so he said that he would honor his submitted bid for $100 per lawn mowing even for once a month since there would be additional work to make it worth his while coming out to our property. After we hired him for both jobs, he came out and began removing the tree. He had assistance from his son or wife on several occasions, but it was apparent he had probably underbid the job, as his estimate detail showed it was based on two trips. Incessant rains complicated the situation, and my wife volunteered the check for the tree removal after he had removed most of it and included a $25 tip for a total of $400 even though he had not finished removing everything, because we knew he would be coming back to mow the lawn and perform landscaping projects he had discussed with my wife. When he next came back, with the lawn mower, his son worked at raking up the tree debris while he mowed the greater portion of the yard. I came out and told his son that I was unable to move several solar panels, so I would add $20 to the $100 for him to move the panels to complete the mowing. From inside the house it appeared as if he had finished mowing and was putting his mower on his trailer, and I knew he would be coming back or at least believed he would be because he had three huge logs from the tree remaining along with one large pile of branches and a couple of small piles, and when I came out to pay him in cash I also noticed he had not mowed the front part of the property outside of the 2 ft wire fencing we have to keep our ducks and geese from going on to the road. I understood he would be coming back to work on this landscaping project that involved part of the unmowed section, but we still were trusting he would be coming back to finish, even though he had been paid, especially since the heaviest logs are still on the ground
