Winchester Construction

First encounter (2012/2013) went quite well. People assigned were prompt, responsible, found a few additional issues along the way that they fixed. I would give them an A if that had been our only experience.

Second encounter was in the Fall of 2015 and was the exact opposite. Some obvious rot had developed where they had used a wood siding product up against a brick foundation wall when they built the Sun Room. I figured they'd be the best to repair it since it was apparently their original design.  The two workers who came out were very pleasant and game me lots of lip-service about how everything could be fixed, etc. They also said they'd be interested in the other maintenance and said they'd prepare a quote. I never heard back. Finally called them this Spring (2016). Took another week and then I get the voice mail saying "well we're really busy, and everybody is committed for months, not sure they can get to it."

A basic fail on customer service. Quite disappointed given our prior experience and their local reputation. We would have happily been repeat customers.

It went very well. They are not cheap, but they are thorough and excellent. The shed matched the house and it has electrical wiring, windows and a skylight. It has lots of electrical outlets and there was quite a bit to do. It was not the kind of shed that you pick up at your local home improvement store. If we have anything else done, we will have them do it. The price is pretty high but it is worth it. You get what you pay for. We are architects so we are more picky than a lot of people and we had no complaints.

We are architechts and very pleased with what he did. He usually does HUGE houses. Everyone is an exceptionally good craftsmen. All of his subcontractor were as well. When we finished we ended up with a book about the home, the paint colors, materials used, appliance literature, etc, Extremely thorough. He is a little pricey, but well worth it. Very nice and easy to work with.
