+ -1 moreFirst encounter (2012/2013) went quite well. People assigned were prompt, responsible, found a few additional issues along the way that they fixed. I would give them an A if that had been our only experience. Second encounter was in the Fall of 2015 and was the exact opposite. Some obvious rot had developed where they had used a wood siding product up against a brick foundation wall when they built the Sun Room. I figured they'd be the best to repair it since it was apparently their original design. The two workers who came out were very pleasant and game me lots of lip-service about how everything could be fixed, etc. They also said they'd be interested in the other maintenance and said they'd prepare a quote. I never heard back. Finally called them this Spring (2016). Took another week and then I get the voice mail saying "well we're really busy, and everybody is committed for months, not sure they can get to it." A basic fail on customer service. Quite disappointed given our prior experience and their local reputation. We would have happily been repeat customers. So A + F = C
Description of Work: This is a review of two distinctly different encounters with Winchester Construction. They were the builder for a custom Sun Room addition on our waterfront house in Annapolis. The addition was built for the original owner. We are the second owner of the property. Our first experience was in 2012/2103. It was to replace the roof membrane that was under a deck, end-of-life, and starting to leak. Second was to repair some rot in the siding of the same addition plus some maintenance "opportunities" elsewhere on the house.
