I've seen his work on other properties that I have handled for sale. The tree is really big and is in between two houses. It hangs over my garage apartment. I'm afraid it is going to crash down. I think the price was fair. Everything is spotless when they leave.

I received a response to my initial request almost immediately, and Ken, the owner, came out to give me an estimate within a couple of days. The work was done within a week. Very professional from first contact to completion of the job. They cleared away all of the debris and even swept my sidewalk when they were done. Great company; I highly recommend!

Team worked efficiently and professionally and did a Very good job cleaning up. They went above and beyond helping me neatly collect some of the wood we wanted to save, raked out the mulch from the ground stump and left me some of the fresh mulch that I wanted. Pruned tree looks so good the neighbors have commented.

Ken came out the very next day after calling him to do an estimate for the work. I received the written estimate quickly and was able to book the work in a timely manor. The crew was thorough, respectful of our property and did an excellent job. They were quick and left the area very clean and tidy. We were incredibly impressed by the complete professionalism demonstrated by everyone involved!

I called Ken on a Saturday afternoon after my neighbor texted me in Florida that trees had fallen on the house.. He stopped by that night to take a look and then mobilized his crew and was able to secure a crain for the following morning. I was anxious to have this done ASAP because snow and then rain were forecast for Mon and Tue and I was afraid of the damage that would be done to the interior rooms. My insurance company agreed with this assessment and gave me authorization to have the work done.
Ken's crew arrived early and did a fantastic job in the freezing cold. By noon, the trees had been cut and removed and the yard was cleaned up. He also hired a professional to tarp the roof. I am very pleased with all aspects of this project. Ken kept me informed of the progress onsite and I am so grateful for his efforts.

I obtained 3 estimates for the work and they were by far the most reasonable priced-a definite plus. Rod came out promptly and gave me a verbal estimate for the work around the second week of July. He was supposed to email a hard copy, but I still had not received it by the end of July, so I called and emailed Ken, the owner/manager, and he emailed me the hard copy estimate on August 8. I'll admit, it took me a few weeks to decide on a time to schedule, and I called Ken on August 30 to schedule the work. He said that they were pretty busy and would call me about 10 days prior to the time they would be able to complete the work-completely understandable. On September 11, I received an voice mail from Ken introducing himself and saying that he had come across my estimate and wasn't sure if anyone had spoken to me about scheduling yet-he apparently didn't recall talking to be about 12 days prior. During this call, Ken stated that he had the following day available to do the work, however I was leaving town for several days and called and left you a message regarding that and that I would have to reschedule. I then heard back from Ken (cannot recall if by voicemail or email) that the work was scheduled for 10/6/14, which we had not discussed. Regardless, the work was done in the first week of October and the men did a pretty good job of removing the trees and the brush along with the stump grinding, in a very reasonable amount of time. I was home during the work and they finished an left. Later in the afternoon, my husband and I noticed that they had not removed a small tree stump (which my husband had specifically spoken to them about that morning) near the fence. This stump was very close to the fence and I assume they did not remove it because it may have caused damage to the fence, however, I was home and none of the workers talked to me about being unable to do this. Additionally, there were 2 new areas of damage to our wooden backyard gate. The gate definitely had pre-existing damage, but these 2 areas were clearly new. I can definitely understand that accidents happen, and this is not a huge deal, but I would have appreciated being notified, whether by note, in person, email, standard mail (with the invoice). I received absolutely no follow up calls. Finally, to be fair, I wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt regarding these things and an opportunity for explanation prior to posting an unfavorable review. I sent Ken a detailed email (November 11) regarding all of the above concerns, giving him the opportunity to correct understandings, but I have never received any calls or emails in return.

"This is the copy of an email response to {removed member name} concerns about the fence and stump. Our records have the email being sent on November 2nd. It sounds like it was never received. If you look at all of the other reviews, we take great pride in the work we do. Communications did not go well with this project. Ken received your email tonight and just sent it to me. I am sorry that I seemed to have disappointed you in how the work was done and the communication with you was lacking on our side. I am not making any excuses but will try to explain what and why things were done in the manner they were. I think when I came out and gave you the estimate I told you I was not very proficient at emails. I came home and went through the steps to send the email and it seemed to work. Needless to say I was quite proud of myself at this time. When Ken came back from vacation I told him I had sent a couple of email estimates and had no problems, to his amazement. Sometime later when you called he called me and said you had not received your estimate. I said that I had sent it and he came over got it out of my computer and forwarded it to you. That is how I think all of that happened. As to the problem of the fence. We could not get the stump machine through the gate and had to take out a section of fence. Honestly I can not remember if you and I had discussed taking out a section of fence but it something that in the course of our work we do frequently so I assumed we had talked about it. The fence was not hard to take down but as I was putting it back it was not so easy. I managed to get it back up well enough ( I thought ) to keep the dog in which i again assumed was the reason for the fence. Since the fence was again serving it's purpose I felt no need to mention any thing to anyone. I apologize and want you to know I was not trying to hide anything from you. Lastly, as to the stump near the fence. I am pretty sure I mentioned in the course of our discussions that I would not be able to get the stump out completely because of the close proximity to the fence but we would get as much of it out as we could. I can not remember how much, if any of it we were able to get. The whole job was confusing because of the time that had elapsed since I had first looked at the job. I just thought we did not get the job because my price was to high. I have been in business since 1973 and treat very seriously any complaints by my customers. I used Severn Tree Service at my place of employment, they were fast, efficient and the price was VERY reasonable. We had a few estimates and they had the best price, and the best service. The crew that arrived to perform the service were polite to our clients that were coming in and out of the building and worked around our parking needs. They cleaned up after themselves and the property looked great when they left.

The crew did an outstanding job. They performed the work in just under 2 hours with a crew of 5. All trees were very close to my house and deck, and they were able to take them down without striking the house or deck. Trees were cut up and run through a chipper on the street in front of my house. The stump grinder did an excellent job grinding the stumps and roots. After they finished, they cleaned up all the loose debris and raked the areas of the tree stumps smooth.

- I contacted the company through their website, requesting an estimate for the removal of a dead tree in our backyard. Within a couple of days I received their proposal, which I found to be very reasonable. At the time I accepted the proposal I was told that they had a backlog of work to perform, but that because it was a relatively small job they would try to take care of it soon. Because we had an upcoming fence installation I asked if they could come out a little sooner. They were very accommodating and came out within a day or two of my request. They did a great job, cut the tree low to the ground, and left nothing behind. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Ken arrived a week before the service and gave an estimate for the work to be done. He advised against topping the willow because of the time of the year but I wanted it done and willing to take a chance. From past experience with tree service providers, I thought the cost was a bit on the high side, but I am a true believer in ?you get what you pay for?. The work foreman arrived early the day of the appointment to show the workers what needed to be done. Five workers arrived later in the day at the time scheduled. They had a ?cherry picker?, shredder, and large truck to haul away the debris. It took them about three hours to complete the job and they did an exceptional job. They were very careful when topping the willow, making sure no branches fell into my garden pond. They cleaned up well, even blowing the sawdust from my driveway and deck.
