Contacted Jeff and he very promptly called back, came to the house and gave me an estimate for the work for about $25,700 based on what he could see. We arranged for a time to start the work once the materials were ordered, and I paid 1/3 up front for the job, the remaining 2/3 at completion. They started work November 1, 2011. As they worked, they discovered the tar paper had been put on incorrectly under the shingles and found damage to the plywood and down into the beams of the home. They showed me the damage as they found it. I told them to replace everything that was damaged in order to get our house sealed back up. There were even places where the wood was so rotten there was nothing between the shingles and the attic. No wonder water was coming in! They discovered my skylights had never been flashed so they needed to do those as well. Again, another source of water coming into the house. The rotten composite siding peeled right off. They replaced with vinyl after replacing the walls and wrapping the home (which hadn't been done before either) with Tyvek. They built dormers instead of just siding the ones I had which had to be custom done for each of the 8 dormers. They replaced my broken gutters with wider, 6" gutters and downspouts to better control my roof runoff. What should have been a 6 day job turned into almost 2 weeks, mostly due to the extensive damage found underneath the roof and siding. If I hadn't seen it for myself I would have been more skeptical that there actually was that much. Jeff's crew was also very considerate of my property, my home and my family. They always were kind and cleaned up after themselves every day. I'd definitely use JSR again for other construction needs around my home.
