"Per our original contract, it called for white painted shoe molding to be used around the entire perimeter. After it was installed, you mentioned that you didn't like the white shoe molding against the cabinets. I personally custom stained oak shoe to be used under the cabinets and swapped it out at no cost. The second time we were out, you were complaining of squeaks in the subflooring, which is normal on every older home and will change seasonally in winter and summer as the materials the house are made and will expand and contract. I tried explaining that to the best of ability, but it wasn't acceptable. I sent our crew out a second time to pull up a section of the floor and attempt to firm up as much as possible the structural plywood and then resintalled the flooring again, at no cost. The third time we were out, you pulled the fridge out yourself, damaging the flooring and pointing out another squeak in the subflooring that had popped up months after our first attempt to correct it. At that time, you agreed to pay for the additional flooring and the labor to do the repairs of the flooring that you had personally damaged and asked if we could address the squeak that had come up. I agreed to do so since our guys would be at the job once more. I even agreed to do the repair of the flooring you damaged at our cost for the materials and labor, which was the $400, which covered the cost of extra material we ordered, plus freight to get it to us, plus our installers day of labor it took to correct the damaged flooring. I never agreed to do it for free at any point during our discussion. If there are any other questions regarding the flooring, feel free to give us a call or an email to discuss further. Thanks again!"
