They did everything in a day and left my utility closet cleaner than it was before they got there. The mechanics were professional and polite. They improved the supports under the inside unit and made some alterations so I could use Hepa filters instead of the washable filter. This was somewhat of a rush job when my old unit stopped working and there was a time crunch because I was getting ready to leave town. They made the whole process easy and relatively painless ? even the crane to get the outdoor unit on top of my roof. They also paid special attention to my cat to make sure she did not get out with all the movement through the outside doors. I highly recommend them.

My husband's office AC went out late yesterday during the hottest part of the day. I recommended Matrix who we have worked with before, and they came early this morning. The technician went up in the attic, that had to be over 90+ degrees and found that the drain had stopped up causing a short and also damage to an office ceiling. He made the necessary repairs and also installed a new flood stop control that will turn off the AC if the drain stops up again. Because they were there and fixed the AC promptly, the office was able to stay open. AAA+

On June 4th like many others in the Washington DC, we lost electricity for 24 hrs. When the power came back on at 4:30 pm on Thursday we discovered we must have been hit with an electrical surge. We lost both our garage doors, our built in microwave, all of our outside lighting and the air conditioning. To top it all off our daughter, husband and our new three month old granddaughter were coming in Friday night from NC. Knowing we were expected to have miserable humid weather for the entire weekend I started making phone calls. A good friend of mine gave me the name of Matrix Mechanical, whose name he had gotten from another family member just weeks before and really could not have recommend them higher. I called and talked to Gail in their office who understood my problem and would try her best to get someone there Friday. She called promptly at 8am on Friday and said she would have a technician at our home around 1pm. Neal arrived at 1:30 and after about 30 minutes had a diagnosis. He told me he could fix it right then as long as nothing else was burnt out. After about another hour he came up and told me I was lucky that there wasn t any more damage considering what he saw. He then asked if I wanted him to check the two units outside to which I said yes and he made some adjustments. Thanks to Gail and Neal from Matrix, our weekend was very enjoyable and comfortable. I recommended them to another neighbor just three days later and they also couldn t have been happier.
