Prompt arrival, neat, clean, finished on time. Always an impeccable job.

David's team did a great job and were very professional. However, they broke one of our flood light bulbs and did not tell us until they had completed the job and were preparing to leave. They asked if we had a spare they could install (we did not) and offered to discount the cost by $10 to cover a replacement bulb. We tried to replace the bulb ourselves later that day with an extension pole (the light is high up on the side of our house) but were unable to. We asked David if someone could swing by during the week to put the bulb in now that we have a replacement bulb and he said that was not possible. We are a little frustrated that we are being left with this problem when we could have run out and purchased a replacement bulb while the team was there if we had been informed as soon as it was broken.

Outstanding! We could not be happier with the team who did the work. Professional courteous clean and prompt. And Dave the owner was always available by phone or text to answer any questions. Very pleased!

Dave informed me about my house and gave me options on what to do. He and his crew seem to have a passion for doing things right and that is what convinced me that the few $$ I might have saved going with replacing part of the siding with cement board was not worth it in the end. We discovered that part of chimney needed plywood replacement which they did as well. Love the look of my freshly repaired and painted Woodman-built contemporary in Columbia. Dave did send crew on wrong day once (a day early), but worked with me on little things that came up. His crew was amazingly professional and clean. They even working on Sunday (after clearing that was OK with me).

Dave Wockenfuss contacted us prior to starting the work when he said he would and initiated the actual work the next day, consistent with our availability to have the work done that week. His crew completed the job in three days (one day quicker than he had predicted), and the quality of the work was excellent. Relative to the board replacement, he was willing to replace only the boards that we wanted done, though we eventually decided to replace most of the ones he recommended to ensure a uniform and "nearly new" look to house upon completion of the staining. I have no complaints with the work, and the cost of the staining itself was competitive with the other contractor from whom we obtained an estimate (though the cost of the replacement boards and door resulted in the total price being higher than we had originally anticipated).

David and his team did an excellent job! They worked within our budget and delivered on our expectations. David is very conscientious and is deeply knowledgeable about our type of house and the materials that were used by the original builder. The team was extremely courteous, professional and hard-working. We never felt like our money or resources were being wasted. We'll be hiring them again when our house is ready for another paint job or exterior work.

Wonderfully. David, Francisco and the crew did a fantastic job painting the cedar siding and soffit of our house. They arrived on time, did their work efficiently, and cleaned up when they left. This is without question the best painting team I've hired at this house. From the day he returned my phone call, David has been a true professional. He came by, asked me what I was looking for, then looked over the entire property, made some recommendations, and then emailed me a complete estimate. He was a pleasure to work with. In this instance, I was looking for someone who knew how to paint/stain cedar siding. That is one of David's specialties. But he also does interiors, which is good to know for the future. If you're looking for a paint crew for exterior or interior work you won't do better than Dave Wockenfuss. He's a straight shooter. He does what he says he's going to do. His pricing was reasonable, considering he was painting the entire exterior of the house and installing treated wood boards to each of the fourteen steps that lead to my basement. The work was excellent. The price was right. I couldn't be happier!

It's not quick, but it's worth the wait. They paint them themselves so they have to match the paint you want if it's a specialty color. Still, they paint them and do the install. Top of the line!

From start to finish this was a professional job. The detail work required to hand shape almost every shingle was impressive. David Wockenfuss, Francisco, and the rest of the crew were pleasant to deal with, responsive to my requests, and interested in doing an excellent job.

Working with Wockenfuss Painting Company was a very positive experience.  Dave Wockenfuss worked with us during our renovation by coming to the house several times and providing written estimates as our needs changed.  After we chose our colors for the house he offered suggestions and helped us finalize our color scheme.  After discussing our project with several painting companies, we contracted with Wockenfuss Painting Company understanding that weather played a big role in scheduling and that we had a number of jobs ahead of us.  When our turn finally came, the crew came out and power washed the entire house.  They then scraped and caulked the areas that needed it.  The following day the painting crew showed up and went right to work.  They were very diligent and seemed to take pride in their work.  They were always courteous and polite to my wife and I.  Dave Wockenfuss was on sight each day overseeing the work and touching base with us which impressed my wife and I (a lot of times in our experience the contractor disappeared after the initial start of a job).  A couple more days and the whole house was painted our base color with two different trim colors.  Dave and his crew were very professional and did a wonderful job changing our poor diamond in the ruff into the jewel of the neighborhood.  We would certainly consider them again for our painting needs.

David was very professional, and responsive to our requests. We appreciated his willingness to do little extras like repair a broken gate door. His crew was excellent with clean up each day and their attention to detail was great. It was refreshing to work with an honest professional who follows through with exactly what he promises!

I was very pleased with the work done by Wockenfuss.  The crew was very nice and worked hard.  It took them all week to paint my house, which was a lot of work.  They replaced rotting wood trim, cleaned, and caulked and painted.  They were easy to work with.  I did a walk through and discussed all of the issues a number of times to ensure everything was completed.  They did crush my plants a bit, but that is because I have so many plants around my home and fence, so I don't think they had other options.  The house looks stunning.  They were very professional, arrived when they said they would and were very responsive to all of my questions and concerns.  They also did a great job of guiding me with their experience in painting other homes, when I was unsure of what should be done.  I would hire them again for painting and carpentry work in the future.

Couldn't have asked for better service.

My townhouse was built in the mid 90's and many of the homes are experiencing problems with the wood around the door. My front door in particular was a mess. I've seen other neighbors who've had work done that looks shoddy or simply didn't last. The quality of the work on my door was excellent. They didn't take shortcuts and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. Dave Wockenfuss and his team (to include Jay) are professional and really know what they are doing. I would hire them again without hesitation, particularly if I wanted the job done right. The only drawback is that it took awhile for the job to take place. They seem very busy which is clearly a reflection of the fact that so many people seek their services.

David Wockenfuss and his crew provided excellent service, quality of workmanship, and customer service.  We would not hesitate to use them again, or to give a glowing referral to this company to anyone who is considering exterior painting.  We have a large home with cedar siding that is about 20 years old, and from the start of his assessment, Mr. Wockenfuss pointed out the areas of the cedar siding that could be repaired, and those that needed to be replaced before painting.  Several other painters that we got estimates from did not even identify these areas as problematic, and when we asked about them, said that we would have to hire someone else to do the woodwork, and did not really address our concerns. The overall price that was offered to us from Wockenfuss came in at a very competitive rate, but included the woodwork and repairs, as well as the power washing and staining of our deck---and an Angie's list discount!  His crew showed up reliably and consistently on time, were courteous and helpful, worked very hard during very hot days, and did excellent work.  Their attention to detail was impressive, given some of the other experiences we have had with contractors and painting crews doing work at our home, and David provided the needed oversight, and checked up routinely on the job and the progress of the work.  We had a bit of a delay at the start of the job that involved getting approval from our HA on the color of the stain, and Mr. Wockenfuss was as patient as I think anyone could be with that process.  He followed up with us about a week after the job was done to make sure that all went well, and offered to fix anything that we were not happy with---which was also a pleasant surprise, as we have had many contractors provide no follow up whatsoever after the job is done and paid for.  As it happened, a small piece of masking tape was accidentally left on our large bay window by the crew, at a location that was too high for us to reach and remove ourselves, and when we brought this to his attention in his follow up contact, he promptly returned and removed it!  If you are looking for a company to do expert work on cedar siding, provide quality work and customer service at a reasonable price, David Wockenfuss and his crew are A+++.  Our house looks absolutely beautiful, and we could not be any happier with the work!

We could not have had a better experience with Wockenfuss. Our house is 130 years old, and it now looks like new. They powerwashed, scraped and painted the entire house, and reglazed all of the windows. David Wockenfuss was fair and honest, which is something you don't always find. His crew was very professional and courteous. They made sure to pay attention to all of the details, for example they repainted our porch swing to match the house. They even stayed late to help me get all of the old windows open at the end of the job. Our house is covered in mostly cedar shake, so it was not an easy job. However, David and his crew made it look easy. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality work at a good price.
