He is a perfectionist and skilled in quite a few tasks involved in maintaining houses and other structures.  The worst thing I can say is that he may decide that a proposed project is outside his range and he therefore won't accept the work.

Peter is a CAPS - Certified aging in Place specialist and he also went through our house and provided advice and tips on modifications to be made to deal with a new disability, including online links, places to borrow or purchase items.  He arrived on time, everytime, communicated via email and phone, quickly performed the work after the initial visit, and stained the second railing to match the existing one that has been in place since the house was built in the early 1990's.

Peter, is the owner of  Perau Associates and,  does the work himself , which I really like!  This way you are sure that the work will be done properly as, he is committed to his company and, proud of the outcome ,  that is appreciated by his Clients, such as myself!
I have experienced this ethic of work many years ago and, haven't seen it  in a long time so, I was very pleased!!!

It went very well, and was totally trouble free for me.  The work was 2 years ago and all repairs are holding up well.  In several instances he did the work even better than I had expected, and he even did one extra thing for no charge - repairing some damage to the under-sink cabinet in the bathroom where the floor had been damaged. I considered his work to be very high quality and will definitely bring him in for additional work in the future.

If there was a rating higher than an "A", I would give it in all categories.  Peter is 100% reliable and dependable.  He shows up when he says he will. His work is meticulous and thorough.  His rates are very reasonable.  Peter knows code and knows what will work and what won't.  He will impart the wisdom of his many years of handyman experience to his customers and will guide them in the right direction.  Peter will make sure the work he does meets the expectations of his customers.

Peter can come up with multiple solutions to any complicated "fix it" problem a homeowner has.  If something is beyond his skill set, such as advanced plumbing or electrical work, he can direct his customers to somebody who will do a great job.

I have used Peter's handyman services for many years.  I have used other handyman services before I found Peter at Perau Associates. He is the best of the best. 

Peter was very courteous and responsive to both phone and emails. He provided a reasonable estimate, and we were able to quickly schedule time to perform the work.The entire project went very smoothly. Peter was able to find closely matching tiles to our existing tiles. He cleaned up the work area after finishing. The online payment system was also very convenient.
I would highly recommend Perau Associates. 

All the jobs were done quickly, professionally and in one visit. It's a pleasure dealing with Peter; he's my go-to guy for those kinds of repairs that are beyond my skill-level and know-how.

As usual, Peter did a fabulous job. He is always punctual and professional but also my hubby and I just love him! He is one of the nicest people we know. The work he did today is beautiful. We have had Peter do so many things for us through the years. We don't know what we would do without him!! Once you hire him, you'll never consider having anyone else. He's a GEM.

Everything went really well.  He was on time as scheduled and did quality work.  He did everything on the list himself and did not send a crew.  He was able to get all of the items completed in one day.

He was very responsive, and he responded right away . He came over right away, and told me what I needed. He gave me suggestions, and told me things that I needed, and didn’t need to help me save money. I would highly, highly recommend him. I liked his method of communication, and he is very professional.

He  charged me for the time he took to go to Home Depot to pick up a part.

Peter is prompt, incredibly neat, conscientious, and he comes up with solutions that a homeowner doesn't think of.  For example, when my elderly father had difficulty maneuvering into a bathroom, Peter suggested special hinges that widened the door, which made my dad's life much easier.  With our most recent tasks, he replaced splintered deck boards so that you could never tell that they were not original to the deck.  When he drywalls or paints, as he did last fall in our laundry, he leaves the area very neat and clean.

He has done a lot of work over the years for us.  He will tell us what he is going to do.  He usually works by himself.  He is very reliable and will give you a very detail estimate.  I am very happy with his services.   I have used him in the past for ceramic tile in our bath and kitchen.

Overall, excellent. Peter was on-time, explained everything to me, each step of the way and did a bang-up number 1 job with the installation. Very professional and courteous at "all" times. GO GO Peter...

Peter arrived on time and performed the work quickly and professionally. A pleasure to deal with.

They are one of the best handymen I have ever used.  The only limitation is that they will only do smaller jobs.

Outstandingly good job

He showed up with all the materials he needed.  He worked constantly for 4 days from 9 to 4.  He didn't take breaks.  He constantly consulted with us about what he was doing.

I do not think he could do the roof work for us and we wanted to get it all done at one place. I would call him again for an estimate.

Everything went very well. He came out and gave an estimate and made sure the measurements were all correct. He sent me the estimate and when I accepted it we met up at home depot and we picked the doors out and I paid for them. Then we came back home and installed all of them He was very good and very professional. I would use him again.

Over the past 6 years, Perau Associates has done a wide variety of jobs for me.  There really isn't much that has not been done.  The owner, Peter, always works with me to make sure he understands what I want to accomplish.  His pricing is more than reasonable, especially given the quality of the work.  I needed to install a banister at the garage steps for support for my aging mother.  It really was a piece of art, completely smooth and easy for her to grasp with her balance problems  Peter installed the tile backsplash when I remodeled the kitchen.  It is beautiful.  . 

When I had elective surgery scheduled in the fall of 2011, I needed ramping so I could get in and out of the house.  Peter brought things to my attention I would have missed, such as threshold ramps into the bathrooms.  The company that installed the exterior ramping, which was to be temporary, had no clue how to deal with the threshold from the living room to the screen porch.  Not only did Peter know exactly what to do, he made it work so I could close the slider so I could run a/c or heat when needed.  He designed a special handle so I could, while sitting in the scooter I used for mobility, put the ramp in place to get out and then flip it out of the way so I could close the slidrer.  Without his creativity and determination to do the job right, I would not have been able to do the surgery.

I would be lost without Peter and Perau Associates.
