New Penn Financial - Columbia

I was referred to New Penn Financial - Columbia from the government refinance program. The man we dealt with was very pleasant and very nice. But things moved along very slowly. Part of it was that we were refinancing the house that we were putting an addition on and they wanted to wait until the addition was complete, before they did the refinancing. So it probably wasn't all their fault. As soon as we had the closing, they said, "Okay, this is who is handling your mortgage, Selene Finance. I had no idea that it wouldn't have been New Penn Financial, that we would have been dealing with on a monthly basis. But I didn't know that after the refinancing was all done, that they were not going to be the mortgage company. I didn't know that they were going to ship us out to this other company. That was just a complete surprise. They were pleasant and on time though. I don't know if it's standard procedure for them to assign our mortgage to a different company at the closing and not tell us beforehand.
