Mike was able to come out same-day on a Saturday and give estimates for options as well as even more importantly, immediately patch roof to stop further leaking/damage during a rainy week.  Work was completed 3 days later after rainstorm.  Prices were reasonable, work was fast and professional.  Overall, definitely would recommend and use again.

Mike and his team have been our go-to for multiple home improvement projects, and they never disappoint! First, we worked with Mike to install a new gutter and silver coat our roof—his workmanship and communication were top-notch, making the entire process seamless. Later, when roofing issues arose, we didn’t hesitate to call Mike back to redo our roof. Once again, his team delivered exceptional results with clear communication every step of the way. Most recently, we had them seal coat and repaint our bricks and trim. During the project, we realized our windows needed resealing, and our front door needed replacing. Mike’s team responded immediately, handling everything on the fly with expert advice, fair pricing, and outstanding communication. We wouldn’t trust anyone else with our home!

They put a new roof on my rowhouse back in 2012 and did a great job. They did the job promptly and were a pleasure to work with. I am now selling my house and roof is still in great shape. I highly recommend Mike and his crew.

I called after a rain leak in the house. Kelbie arrived that same morning and patched it. They later coated the entire surface of the main house, detached garage, and porch roofs. I was pleased with the work and the price was reasonable. The employees were civil and professional.

I made several calls had no luck getting somebody out right away. Everybody wanted to book me three weeks to 4 weeks out Mr. Kelbie was able to come out the same day and give me a same day written Estimate usually I get three estimates. But the roof was leaking really bad and Mr Kelbie said he could come out the next day and do the job so I agreed took a chance and he did the job took pictures showed me everything. I was very pleased with the work with Mr. Kelbie and his men, they even took the time to let me know what my options were before instead of Just trying to sell me a new roof. the price was fair. I thought he give a good warranty now my roof don't leak no more.

Very responsive - came out quickly to evaluate our roof. Provide a timely proposal with competitive pricing. Quickly and easily scheduled the job and completed in a timely & workmanlike manner. Good communication- would recommend.

Poor customer service; roof has holes less than six months after work was performed Called about a leak from a small secondary roof/landing on an old rowhouse. Mr. Kelbie convinced me just to reseal the roof and fasten the existing gutter to a new piece of vinyl fascia. Work was completed within a reasonable amount of time (especially considering it was close to Christmas). Within six months the sealant was bubbling and cracking in many places. Called to see if it was under warranty. Received a text from Sean within a few days asking for pictures. I sent them, he texted that he received them. Sean said he’d call me to schedule someone to come out. Four days later he still had not called, so I texted for an update. He replied he would have someone out “this week.” He then did not respond to texts for a week, but finally said he was out of town and would call the following day to schedule something. He then stopped responding to all texts. I chose Kelbie in large part because of the great customer service other reviewers noted. I never experienced even adequate customer service. And my roof still looks terrible and has holes.

Overall, very disappointed in the overall experience with the Kelbie team. They were very unprofessional, unorganized, and eventually started harassing both myself and my pregnant wife in front of our 14 month old child. I have text threads and phone calls that convey legitimate harassment by the Kelby team who overall were unpleasant to work with. Details below. Finishing the Project/Harassment The Kelbie team said the project would take 1-2 days, when they slapped us with a change order they said 2-3 days, and days 4, 5, & 6 were dragged out because they would send one person to clean without notice. The Kelbie team came to pick the final things up without notice while I was not home, and immediately demanded payment despite me not being home to verify project completion or communicating to me a time to which we could mutually agree on the project completion. They then asked me to verify completion at 10 PM on a Saturday night and pay the final invoice immediately, and started harassing me. Sean was having a bit of a temper tantrum, would yell at me without letting me ask questions, and even went as far as saying “While you were out tonight I sent guys to your house to remove shingles so good luck if it rains tonight b/c your house is going to flood.” The next morning I identified issues the Kelbie team agreed would require their attention, and they still demanded the final payment before continuing the services. Despite the contract saying the project needed to be completed and a warranty delivered, they demanded the final payment before continuing. Recommendation for finishing a project. Check your downspouts and gutters. Ours were clogged with nails by their team! Poor Finance Practices While I appreciated the various options they provide to pay for the project, I was blown away at how Mike Kelbie mishandled client finances. When referring to payment by check, he was quick to send an unsolicited picture of another client’s check as an example for me to replicate without any thought to the fact that he shared personally identifiable information of his clients confidential information including full name, spouse name, mailing address, banking number, and routing number. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CHECK. They may forward it to other clients. Further, for the final payment Mike consistently sent me the wrong number. I finally had to detail out what was paid vs. what was owed, and he seemingly didn’t know how to use his own invoicing software and accounting for payments made that do and do not incur a fee, and how that should impact both his top and bottom line. Poor Communicators There was no project management or owner that was introduced to me, so I never knew who the right point of contact was. For a project that was worth $18K for “2-3 days” (project all in took 6 days), I would expect there to be a single person in charge. The owner, Mike Kelbie, would send me texts repetitively with no context or description of the pictures, he sent his sons to my front door to try to explain things, meanwhile their business partner Sean (who was seemingly the most competent) was trying to provide me good customer service and details remotely. It was confusing and to this day I still don’t know who was in charge. There was zero communication in advance of the project about what to expect, how to prepare, etc. There team showed up a day earlier than initially agreed to, and they would not let us know when they were coming (often would say 7:00-7:30, but show up at 9:30-10:00 or even 12:30 one day). At the project conclusion they didn’t even tell us when they would come so we could mutually agree it was done (it wasn’t). Misleading - Perhaps I was naive to assume the bill would be as presented on face value. After taking off all the previous shingles, they were quick to point out problems that they “commonly see” on roofs of our age and sent us a change order that increased the total contract value by 200%+. The change order had no justification, details of time/materials, etc. and I had to repetitively ask for these things to better understand the scope of the problem. When I suggested to the owner that more details at the time of the estimate of “common things we see when we take the shingles off on homes of your age” would have been appreciated in advance of the project, he reprimanded me saying “I shouldn't tell him how to run his business”. Again, I was just trying to provide customer feedback on how being forthright would go a long way. On a separate note, there were no details provided in advance of the project. I wish they would have given me a heads up to clear out the attic/crawl space and lay down tarps to avoid the debris from falling into items we have in storage. They did eventually clean it which I appreciated. Scheduling - After signing the contract and providing them with a deposit, I had to reach out on multiple occasions to get updates on timing. They finally scheduled me outside the SLA period indicated on the contract. They showed up a day early to start the job without any prior notification. As a family that hosts another family for a daily nannyshare, this was a huge inconvenience to us and the other family.

Call Kelbie to look at my roof. They were able to come out the same day and give me a free written estimate ended up using them to do the job. They did a nice job cleaned up well the people that worked on my roof were very nice very respectful, my next-door neighbor like the work and I recommended them to my neighbor and they did their job too. Very nice people plan on using them again for some additional work in the future on another property that I’m going to purchase. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Called Kelbie due to a leak in my son's room. They sold me a roof with a 20 year warranty against leaks for $5300 which began to leak a few months after installation. Mr Kelbie insisted it wasn't the roof, but the gutters and windows. I hired another company to come out and replace the gutters and reseal all the windows. The leaks started again a few days later. The gutter/window company inspected their work, along with the roof and said I needed a new roof. I told them I just got the roof replaced a few months ago. they sent me photos of what they called "questionable work" including gaps and warps in the flashing, pooling areas of water, etc which I sent to Kelbie. He refused to do any repairs and blamed it on everything else but their work, saying the other company was only licensed for 3 years and weren't qualified to make that statement, and that I was harassing him and my accusation was "appalling". Kelbie roofing has done nothing to this day to correct these issues.

Very responsive!! Called and had an estimate the same day. With a roof leak water can be very destructive. I had multiple companies not respond at all and one wanted me to wait a month. Not these guys, within days the work was started and completed!!

Kelbie Roofing provides great customer service. I had a bedroom roof leak. My home warranty company had someone come out to fix it about a month ago. It leaked again and they refused to fix it this time. My home owners insurance only gave me to money to fix the inside last time, and to go up on my premium and fees this time. Everyone, including my current mortgage lender either made me jump through hoops to get money to get it fixed or tried to charge me 10% or more for money to fix it. I contacted 3 roofers in the area. Everyone said they didn't have someone available to come out for a week or so to just give me an estimate. Kelbie came out the same day. He gave me 3 different tiered price quote options along with financing. He sent me photos of the roof from the inspection. He came out the next day to the repair my roof, and gave me the option of paying for the repairs with a 3 payment installment. He's fair, response, friendly, and willing to work with you and your budget. Give him a call, text him, or send him an email - you won't regret it, but your roof will!

They showed up quickly and gave a couple of quotes for options. The prices seemed good and they were even going to do some additional work on the chimney that I share with my neighbor (who also had their roof done by Kelbie earlier in the year). Both Mikes answered all of my questions and came out to do the work quickly.

I shopped/got estimates from 4 different roofing companies all w/ 100+ reviews with 4.7+ rating. 2 took more than a week to give me an estimate and the ONLY option they gave me was replacing the whole roof for 10k (but it's not that bad, they just tried to scare and talk of code and such - they were just trying to get the maximum commission/sale - no matter what my roof actually looked like - they were gonna say replace and the bill is 10k). 1 tried to charge me almost 3k just to do some patching and some flashing work - no actual coating and nothing to address my porch. Kelbie gave me options, and a much, much better deal and great value relative to the others. They were out for an estimate the next day after I called. And within 2 days of signing and making deposit they were working. Very easy. Very quick. And the work looks great. They wanted my business and took care of me. I've recommended to both my neighbors. I think this was truly was a great service. 5 stars.

Fantastic services, materials,, removal and installation.

Michael (Roofer) was extremely accommodating and attentive. He offered to go up on my rental property’s roof to see what was causing the leak. He provided a collection of photos along with a detailed video that he had narrated, calling out the trouble area’s on the roof. I really appreciated his professionalism and promptness in completing the necessary roof repairs.

It went great. I needed the flat roof of my rowhome re-coated and the initial inspection and entire job was completed less than a week from my first call to Kelbie. My neighbors recommended this company and I’m very happy that I went with them. They show up when they say they will and guarantee their work. I’ll use them again but since the coating they applied is good for a decade it won’t be anytime soon :)

VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK!!! Kelbie was very responsive, professional, and didn’t try to upsale me on anything. I’ve had a really tricky leak that no other roofers could solve and Kelbie was the only company that was able to fix the problem. I definitely recommend this family owned company.

I emailed requesting a roof inspection and quote. I was immediately called back, and the inspection was scheduled same day, with different estimates offered for necessary/advised repairs. Extremely responsive and highly professional.
