The job as completed by Accurate Insulation LLC was sub standard and had to be partially reinstalled. Two gutter stretches were too short and had to be replaced.The gutter fittings, instead of form fitted end-caps and corners, were crimped beyond measure, appearing to be mangled. My concerns on this issue were dismissed by the contractors. The first rain gave us two new interior leaks. The longest gutter stretch still has a prominent bow in the middle which we are told poses and quot; no problemand quot;. Damaged facia and soffit that was not replaced and has since been replaced by others. Numerous hanger screws were not set until I requested that they be set and attached to the facia. Debris removal required my attention to make sure it was all removed.
The lead protection and clean up that was paid as extra to Home Depot was never performed and I was promised numerous times by Home Depot a refund. I am still waiting to see the refund.
After four visits by Accurate Insulation LLC to get this job correct I have basically given up and accepted the finished project, but I am very unhappy with the experience of dealing with Home Depot and Accurate Insulation LLC . I will never consider them again for any home projects.
Poor quality product, poor installation, poor customer service, and a dishonest and untrustworthy sales representative. We ordered custom blinds from ROCKWOOD SHUTTERS/Home Depot in September 2011. When we called in November wondering why we hadn't received the blinds, ROCKWOOD SHUTTERS stated the blinds were sitting in their warehouse.
First, ROCKWOOD SHUTTERS uses inexperienced installers. The installer had previously only installed shades. Some blinds were installed completely crooked.
Secondly, the custom blinds were defective. The blinds did not fold-up neatly under the valance and they stuck-out far from the window. The pull-strings hung down onto the floor.
We called the sales rep. Tina, to complain about the problem. Tina initially showed interest in helping to resolve these problems. She convinced us to upgraded to Plantation shutters. Big Mistake. We waited two months for the installation. After making many calls to find out why we hadn't received the shutters, contrary to what the Tina had told us, the shutters were never ordered. Tina was dishonest and deceitful, and refused to return my calls or my emails. ROCKWOOD SHUTTERS provided no help in returning the defective product or providing a refund. It took many weeks working with Home Depot to obtain my refund.
They reordered the items. I insisted that they expedite it because it caused a delay in completion of my bathroom renovation. I asked the customer service to contact me but either they did not return my calls or left messages on my land line which I never use, despite me telling them on NUMEROUS occasions to use my cell phone. One assistant manager told me it would arrive at my home by Thursday (inconveniencing my contractor). I was told that it would be shipped directly to my home. In fact, it was shipped by the company on that date and was sent to Home Depot directly. I didn't get it until tuesday of the following week, only after calling them several times and threatening a lawsuit.
My contractor had to work around this and come back a week later to finish.
This is an example of complete incompetence and rudeness. I will NEVER purchase a nail from these folks again much less get them involved in any home improvement project.
