The whole project went excellent! I really liked working with Don Holliday, the owner. He was prompt in our first meeting and came prepared to give me an estimate on the spot. He is very knowledgeable and was able to give me the steps of the whole project. His team showed up on the project start day and all went very well. The roof looks incredibly beautiful and adds so much to our house. Don's crew was very conscientious to cleanup and all the nails and removed shingles were removed. I look forward to hiring Holliday Home Improvements in the future for our home projects.

Holliday Home Improvements had already replaced one neighbor's roof. He did such a good job on that roof and mine, he got another neighbor's business and two more prospects on my short street alone. Don answered my calls promptly, followed through when he said he would, replaced one section that needed three layers removed without charging extra, and left my lawn immaculate. He actually supervises the job, and his workmen are skillful, careful, and fast. They worked through 98-degree heat without skipping a beat. By the way, Holliday Home Improvements was my lowest bid--about one-third of my highest bid. I would and will hire Holliday Home Improvements. He was much better with follow-through as well. After two downpours that flooded the DC/Baltimore area, I have zero leaks with my new roof. I've recommended Holliday Home Improvements to our Columbia Association as a top contractor. He's excellent as a contractor, honest, professional, reliable, and very easy to deal with. A++

Mr. Holliday was great to work with. He explained all my options. He answered all my questions. He didnt use any high pressure sale tactics when I told him I wanted to get at least three quotes. He was there on the job site at the start of the job and did the final run through. The workers minimizes the amount of roofing material in yard my collecting the old roofing material while on the roof. I appreciated that since I still had fall plants blooming near the house. The workers worked constantly throughout the day.
Although Holliday Homes was not my cheapest quote ( not significantly more than the others), he gave me the feeling that the job was going to be done right. For me and as a project manager, when I am spending this type of money, having that feeling is important for me.
My Husband and I love the roof with one exception. The horizontal roofing vent seemed to have a hump in it. MR. Holliday explained that was due the roofing line transition between the original house &t he addition. But he didn't just take my money and say "oh well. He asked us to give him a few days to come up with a solution that didn't compromise the integrity the roofing work. He did the work himself. The roof looks beautiful. The biggest different for me is hiring an expert is someone who can do the work and someone who can do work and address the big issues when they come up. Mr Holliday is an expert.

The owner of this company was involved with this project from beginning to end.  He first met with me to obtain all the requirements for the job and submitted his proposal within a day.  It turned out to be the middle price of the three quotes that were obtained.  His work crew was punctual and very knowledgeable of the trade.  It was evident to me that the crew had worked together for a long period of time by the way they anticipated of each others needs on the roof.  The owner visited the work site several times during the day to make sure we were satisfied with the ongoing job.  At the end of the day, the crew went all over the property to pick up all nails and trash that was on the lawn.  After the crew had finished for the day and left, the owner returned and went around the perimeter of the house with a magnetic rake to make sure all loose nails were picked up.  I was very satisfied with the professionalism of the workers, the quality of the product and the price. 

There was a leak in our roof in our kitchen. The contractor was able to assess where the leak was coming from, and why the roof was leaking. The contractor went above and beyond to redo the roof so that the leak was fixed properly.

I've been extremely pleased with this company.  They are quick to follow up with calls, and are very knowledgeable in their trade. They were also competitive with their prices.  They even helped me clean off the roof after the skylight was installed.

The owner, Don Holliday came to the house to personally explain the work to be done. Work started when he said and finished in one day. Don personally climbed on the roof to inspect the work and stopped by several times while the work was being done. He is very professional and the well-trained crew worked well together. At the end of the day, Don closed out the contract, and reiterated to contact him with questions or problems.

He repaired the roof as requested. We have not had any additional concerns.

Donald was wonderful and really helped me out. I recommend him to others in my area and will be using him again in the future if needed.

Don gave the estimate which was very fair. His team did an excellent job, cleaned up well, and performed it in a timely manner.  He also came back to connect the upper gutter to the lower gutter at no charge, even though I offered to pay him for it.  Very satisfied customer.

The experience was well worth using angie's list. we would have never found this company. Don Holliday came out to our home a day after we contacted them. We only called about getting the pipe collar on our roof replaced. when don showed up he noticed a lot more wrong with our roof and worked with our insurance co. to get the all of the damages fixed. He worked for the upsell and I can't be mad at that because we benefited from it in this case.

Holliday Home Improvements Inc did an excellent job.  He was recommended to us by our home owners association. We also looked at  reviews on this company on Angie's List and looked at other jobs that he had done in our community.  We were very impressed with the office staff and were in touch with them by phone and email before the work.  Don Holliday the owner was present during the work.

Mr. Holliday went out of his way to explain all the options and payment methods. Out of 5 companies, he offered the best deal and was reasonably priced. He was onsite at the beginning of the project and the end, spending time to go over what was done. When I got home you would not have known a construction crew had been at the house other than the fact I had a brand new roof! The company did an excellent job and I would defiantly refer him to anyone in the market for a roofing company.

Mr. Holliday was the 5th estimate I received . He was very informative and explained the entire process to me, explaining all of the different shingle options, underlayment, warranties through his company and the shingle company.  His crew worked very hard and cleaned up beautifully.  They started on a  Friday and completed the job on Saturday.

They were terrific and came out and completed the work quickly. The price was fair, reasonable and I will use them again in the future.

Our 19 year old cedar shake roof began to leak in several places.  We got estimates from several roofers for a total roof replacement.  Holliday was very responsive and worked with us in selecting a new shingle type which best matched the house.  In addition, we had rain water pouring over out gutters.  Previous attempts to repair the problem, including replacing the gutters and downspouts  with larger models did not fix the problem.  Holliday adjusted the pitch of the gutters, added two downspouts and installed a gutter system to prevent clogging.  Shortly after the work was completed we had a major storm (3+ inches of rain) with no problems with the roof or gutters.  In addition, Holliday added a roof vent and soffit vents. 

Holliday was great to work with, very professional, with a willingness to do whatever is necessary to make sure the work was done correctly and on time. He was careful to make sure that everything was cleaned-up.  Other that seeing our great new roof you could not tell that we just had major construction work just done th the house, The price was competitive and we very satisfied.

we had to followup a few times to get the estimates after the walk through, but once he was on site he was very professional and responsive. He kept the work area very clean and was very organized.

They were prompt and efficient. The working crew was courteous and they worked well. They finished the job quickly and accurately. There was high workmanship and follow up from the owner of the business. He came by afterwards, went up on the roof and looked at it to make sure that everything was done well. We have had a roof put on before but never had anybody do that. My interaction with them was great. I think that they worked up to their price. I was concerned in the beginning but having gotten them from Angie's List with the positive ratings I felt that it was a good opportunity.

They did a good job.  They came in, did a good job, did right and fast.  They were courteous and did what they said they were going to do.

Mr. Holliday came out to give an estimate for fixing the roof after a storm.  He showed some additional problems with the roof and made suggestions as to whether repair or replacement was the best route.  We elected to replace the entire roof and he and his crew were out in a matter of days.  They did they entire job in a day and cleaned everything up the same day.  I would highly recommend Holliday Home Improvements for roof work and will use them again for future home repairs. 

Holliday did a wonderful job. As a result of having our sewer line replaced, our driveway, walkway and retaining wall were destroyed. We contracted with Holliday to install a new cement driveway, a block retaining wall and a flagstone walkway. The cost of the job They did a beautiful job and the flagstone looks gorgeous. We don't regret the extra cost. We were very pleased with their workmanship overall. The workers who installed the flagstone definitely jumped when we decided to go with a flagstone walkway over straight cement. were very meticulous and did an incredible job. The entire job took a little more than 2 weeks. It would have taken less time, but there was 3 straight days of rain the first week. I would highly recommend this contractor to anyone needing concrete work.

The project took 3 1/2 days. Don and his crew ran into an unforeseen problem, which was that our existing stoop was not hollow but absolutely solid, making its demolition more difficult, but he still honored the price he had quoted in his proposal. I often checked on the crew to see how things were going, so Don realized that I wanted to be kept informed on all developments. He communicated clearly and patiently, no matter how many questions I had. The finished stoop and sidewalk were beautiful, and the crew completely cleaned up all the debris. They even hosed off my shrubs to get rid of the fine concrete dust that had settled on their leaves.
