Peter Forrest

Peter Forrest answered the phone on my initial call after purchasing the Angie's List deal. We agreed to talk again, and I would email him to set-up a time to have the service performed. After that, I never heard from Mr. Forrest again despite attempting to call him 5 plus times and after sending multiple emails through Angie's List. Mr. Forrest stole my money, and I want it back. Deplorable service.

Forrest used black shingles to repair my roof which has light gray shingles.  When I complained  (I got home from work and Forrest had left when I saw what he had done), he tried to convince me that the black shingles would turn gray with weathering and match what I have - will never happen! One of the repaired spots due to raccoon damage  is right over the deck and the contrast is obvious and ugly.

At first, I received an invoice days later that was ambiguous about the work that was performed.  I asked for a detailed invoice that separated out the price for work to repair raccoon damage and that related to storm damage in the event that I filed an insurance claim..  When I finally got that invoice weeks later, the description of the work done for storm damage appeared to be the work that was covered under the coupon - caulking and nailing loose shingles - for which I was charged $500. beyond the price of the coupon    When I confronted Forrest, he became nasty and accused me of trying to perpetrate insurance fraud, a totally unfounded claim.  I have never filed a claim under my homeowners insurance policies that I have had on 2 houses over a 26 year period and I didn't file a claim this time.  In my opinion, Forrest had no legitimate response and he has not returned the $500.00.  Despite my dissatisfaction with the rest of his work, I did not seek to have him fix the other issues because I don't want him anywhere near my house.   Since he refused to even acknowledge the obvious issue with the black shingles and that he charged me for work covered under the coupon, there can be no trust.  Particularly with roofers where a home owner is dependent on the roofer to be honest (who is going to climb on a steep roof to check repairs and photos aren't always accurate), trust is essential.

It went very well. Peter was very responsive and helpful.  It ended up being a minor repair.  But he was very responsive to my concerns

Peter Forrest was friendly and efficient. Work was performed promptly and as promised. The acrylic product that was applied to the shingles is supposed to ****** growth of moss and mildew as well as help improve the lifespan of the roof. I did not receive a warranty so I hope it works!

I don't think it was a very good experience. I believe it was for a roof inspection. I had scheduling issues with the guy. There was one day that he cancelled. He basically told me all I had to do was give him the address and he would take a look at it, I didn't necessarily need to be here. He said he showed up. It was on a day that I couldn't be home. He said he showed up and there was nothing wrong with the roof but I have no verification that he ever came. So, I asked him to take pictures and he never sent any pictures of the roof. He said he repaired one or two shingles. He never showed me pictures of the repair. It was really hard for me, it was my word against his word that he ever showed up. It was really the communication that was the issue.

Mr. Forrest and his technician inspected my roof and followed up with a
report by phone. They offer great customer service and dedication to
their profession and to getting things right.

Contractor called several times and we set up the initial appointment.  Contractor arrived on time and inspected the roof performing some minor caulking and nails on some roof shingles and around the chimney flashing.  He provided an evaluation of the roof which is out of warranty and informed me the roof does show ware from age and the end shingles have lost some grit but the roof was in generally satisfactory condition and should last about two more years before replacement is required.  I was satisfied with the work, evaluation and recommendation.  The contractor gets a plus by keeping in phone contact and showing up on time for the appointment.  I feel it was a fair price for the work provided and when the roof does need replacing would ask the contractor for a detailed estimate to compare with others I would obtain to determine who would get the roof contract.

I  liked Mr forrest ad did not wish to get other estimates .He and his crew started the work right away and finished up the next day,They worked quickly and left no debris or any materials. Sadly,much of what was repaired was done by another company years ago
