Installed fence over property line on both sides after I paid for a marked survey. All of my concerns were dismissed.

"Thank you for your kind comments. However, I remember the installation from some 2 yrs ago. This was a 6 ft Solid Board Fence along the rear property line with no fences on either side. I installed an additional 6- inches of fence on the left rear upon (member name removed) direction as her neighbor's fence location was inside the neighbors property line which left the opening. I closed the gap at no charge as requested. On the right rear corner there was a telephone pole which necessitated the post to be a few inches over the line. I do not understand this dated conversation when these items were addressed and closed at the time of installation. Further, I provided an hour of hedge trimming and fence line clearing prior to the fence installation at no extra charge because [Member Name Removed] had no resources to do this prior to installation of the fence. I will not have any further comment on a situation that was discussed at the time, approved, and paid for so long ago. Have a nice day ! Doug"

Doug, who is local to the Columbia area was great to work with from start to finish. You deal directly with the owner, not a sales rep., and his knowledge and advice is extremely helpful in deciding what the best options are for your property. We got a great fence at a good price and the quality is outstanding. They also got the job done quickly as promised and we could not be happier with everything.

It went great! My house had an old split-rail fence that was starting to rot; sections were starting to fall over and it was beyond repair. I sent an e-mail to Doug at FBD Fence to get a replacement estimate, and he immediately replied and scheduled a time to swing by. After walking the perimeter and making some recommendations on gate placement and maintenance tips, Doug provided an estimate on the spot. He was very friendly and low pressure, encouraging me to get estimates from other companies so I could compare. I had never paid much attention to fences, but I started noticing that many of the fences throughout my neighborhood had an "FBD" decal on them, and my neighbors were happy with his work, so the decision to go with him was easy. The installation process itself was painless, even though my wooded and heavily sloped property had to be a challenge for the workers. The materials were dropped off in my driveway the weekend before the install, and the hard-working crew completed the tear down of the old fence and the installation of the new fence all in one day. Later that evening, another crew showed up to haul away the old fence materials. In one day, I went from having a crumbling fence to a brand new, beautiful fence with no hassle or headache. Doug swung by that evening to make sure I was happy with the work. Needless to say, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend FBD Fence. Doug and has crew are competent, caring, and competitively priced.

Excellent work. Very pleased with the final results. I have recommended this company that my neighbors and one of them did use for a beautiful fence. We had a tree fall down and damaged part of the fence and FBD came out promptly and repaired.

The entire job was completed in 3-4 hours. From the time we scheduled the work, had utilities out to survey and the work itself, all of it was completed within a half a week. He was true to his estimate and everything went according to plans. I couldn?t be happier with the service.

Great service and quality work. Have used Doug in the past, so we had some idea of what to expect. Doug shared options to consider, and quick turn around on revisions to the plans. Install team was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable in their craftsmanship. The side yard looks so much better now with the fence . It is our little outdoor oasis.

I sent an e-mail through Angies list to FBD Fence Company. I received a response right after and followed up via telephone within the next day. Doug, from FBD was currently in my area and asked to stop by to give me an estimate for replacing the gate. He brought Alexander Martinez with him since he would be the one completing the work. I agreed to the estimate and he came out the next day. True to their word Alexander was at my house with the necessary supplies. He completed the work within a few hours. I am very satisfied with the work. Thank you Doug and Alexander.

Once making contact with Doug he was at the house personally himself providing an estimate within a reasonable time following initial contact. We were looking at two options but went with the paddock style fence. Doug, himself, even came out to the house to help my husband search for the potential property points. When we were not successful in locating them Doug referred us to some one who does property land boundary surveys. This gentleman was just as responsive as Doug in helping us get a land survey completed in time for the fence to be installed. We wanted the survey to verify we were not invading the properties of our neighbors. The fence installation was supposed to begin on Friday but threatening storms prevented that from happening. The installer did come by later that afternoon to set up the materials for the project. On Saturday morning the installers arrived bright and early and finished the entire fence in one day. We are extremely pleased with the one-on-one attention from Doug himself as well as the installers who did a wonderful job. We also have two large dogs who now have the opportunity of freely running and roaming their back yard for lots of fun and play!

It couldn't have gone better. Doug's crew was on time and performed very professionally. The job was neatly done and we were happy with both the work and the price. About a week after the fence was installed, I noticed a small problem and called Doug. After a short time, Doug, himself, came out and made a correction that completely satisfied us. It was a great experience. The team was polite and respectful of my property. It's a small area so the job only took about 3 hours, from start to finish. I have a pipe for my sump pump that extends out the back of the yard, through the back of the fence. They even cut the fence board very nicely to accommodate. It was agreed to change the swing of the gate. It swung to the left for 25 years. Now it swings to the right. What a difference! You wouldn't think something so small would make such an improvement. The locking mechanism on the gate is superb. It is very secure even without a padlock. Doug addressed all of my concerns about the design of the fence being up to "HOA standards" and made some adaptions to make me comfortable. He came over shortly after the job was complete to make sure I was happy. And I was! The price was right, the old fence was taken down and hauled away, the new fence went up with no glitches and they cleaned up after themselves when they were done. You'd never know they had been there. I now have a fence that is a true "privacy fence, unlike the old one. I can't see out and better yet, no one can see in. I HIGHLY recommend this company for any fencing needs you may have. They do beautiful work. Many thanks to Doug and his team.

Doug and his crew did an amazing job! Doug was responsive, gave great advice and even helped us through the approval process with the CA. The quality of the fence is also great - this was done a couple years ago when we bought our house and the fence still looks great. I will recommend him to everyone I know who needs a fence. Very pleased with Doug's work to fix our split rail fence. He got job done within a week of the request, did thorough check of our fence to make sure the rest was stable. He obtained the supplies, fixed the requested posts and split rails and checked and reinforced our fence where necessary. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Would definitely use him again.

Doug showed up on time and was very personable. He discussed fencing options with me, worked up the cost on the spot, and made the cost quoted good from August - December. When I called to schedule the work he quickly responded and the work occurred within the same week. The workmen were pleasant, on time. They cleaned up all debris and left me with a beautiful new fence that met all of my needs - sturdy enough to contain a 75 lb dog, corners matching up with no gaps against the neighbors' fencing, sturdy gates with excellent hardware. This work was done in 1 day and Doug came by to inspect the work and make sure I was satisfied before he was paid. I would use Doug in the future and highly recommend him to anyone else who wants honest work at an honest price done by an honest company!!!!

They were early each day, worked hard, very friendly, cleaned up thoroughly afterwards and then before leaving each day checked in first to see if everything was ok! Doug and his guys were GREAT! This spring we will be using Doug and FBD Fence to continue fencing in our whole 3 acres.
