EZ Green Home

EZ Green Home knocked on my door and offered to install some energy efficient things in my home at no charge. My wife made an appointment and Ryan Hopkins from the company came out to do the installation. He installed some light bulbs, a hot water saver on the shower, and attempted to install an aerator on my bathroom sink. Problem One: Upon attempting to install the aerator, he cracked the faucet, causing water to leak out from the sides , down and under the faucet and onto the floor. Problem Two: Upon removing the shower head fixture to install the hot water saver, he did not replace the grommet causing water to shoot out from the connection to the pipe. He also must not have checked his work after installation, because if he had, he would have noticed the gushing water. Problem Three: I contacted EZ Green Home the next day and explained the problems that the technician caused to my house. They we're apologetic and stated that a technician could be out that evening between 6pm-8pm to look at the problems. Well, 8pm came and went and nobody showed up, nobody called, nothing. The next day I called again and nobody answered the phone. I left a message on the voicemail that I was directed to and explained the situation. to this day, nobody has contacted me about the horrible work that was performed. It's been several weeks. I had to buy new grommets for my shower and a new bathroom sink faucet ($50) DO NOT use this company in any way. I've never seen such unprofessional behavior from a company before this experience. To not even give as much as a phone call back. Just WOW. I highly recommend additional training for the technicians and some customer service training as well.

1) Quick Home Energy Check-up went extremely well. The EZGreen Home building analyst who visited performed a thorough walk-through assessment of my home, installed free energy saving products (with my permission), and provided me with a tremendous amount of easy-to-understand information on my home and how to save $$ by saving energy. Analyst was extremely bright, personable, and got along well with my dog :)! 2) 4 hr detailed home evaluation w/full report on all areas of leakage including every nook and cranny of my home. Energy saving solutions offered with pricing. This analyst was also very friendly, knowledgeable, and liked my dog :)! 3) Attic retrofit performed. Installers arrived on time, were very courteous and professional, performed their work in a timely fashion, and cleaned up after themselves. They also got along well with my dog :)! AND I received a 50% rebate of their work (attic insulation) through BG&E - with EZGreen Home submitting all of the required forms for me! 4) I later had my basement laundry room insulated - another place where I was loosing energy. After my attic insulation & installation of energy saving bulbs I used 15% less energy per month. After the addition of my basement insulation I used 25% less energy/month! I am a very happy customer - especially as I expect these savings to continue for the life of my home!

It went great! The technician was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He installed a lot of energy savings devices (LED light bulbs, new shower head, etc)... and also did an inspection of my home and provided me with a lot of great suggestions on how I can reduce my energy consumption and cost. They also sent me a complete report on their findings. I have recommended this service to many, many people and all have been highly satisfied. They also offer a full 2 to 3 hour energy performance audit at only $100. I plan on having this done in the near future.
