They're very honest and try to do their best. They don't rush, but they do a good job. They're meticulous and care about their work. The time they take to do their work is well worth it. They've done our windows and painted the interior of our home and replaced the baseboards.

This is the second major remodeling job Citadel has done for us, and in both cases, the quality of the work is very high. Bruce Folkins, the owner is very easy to work with and offers good design ideas. The project took quite a bit longer to complete than estimated, and I understand that this is not unusual for major kitchen re-modeling jobs.  There were a few hickups along the way, but the team worked through all of them.  Bruce is very good about following up to make sure things are done right, and if they are not, he will have his guys redo them.  I would have liked the workers to clean up a little better each day so that we would not track dirt throughout the house, so we often ended up cleaning up ourselves.  And while Bruce was responsive to my calls and requests, it was not clear to me that my concerns were clearly understood by the workers.  In the end, though, the the result is beautiful.  Citadel has done quite a bit of remodeling work for my neighbors and me, and we all keep going back to them, so we are obviously pleased with their work..  I am sure you will be too.

Citadel was not the cheapest contractor, but I believe we made the best investment. The workers are truly skilled craftsmen who would rather do it right than rush and get it wrong. We had three quotes, and they were the most expensive, but they also offered design and construction suggestions to improve the job that the other contractors did not. As it turns out, these were all good ideas. The things I really like about this company are: 1) Whatever price is quoted, that's the price you pay. There is no, "sorry, but it's going to cost more than we thought." They stand by the price they quote 2) They are willing to adjust to your changing requirements throughout the job as long as the change isn't too drastic. 3) They offer suggestions to your ideas, and try to find ways to make things work the way you want to get the desired effect of the remodeling. 4) They are nice people to work with. 5) Their payment schedule is very fair. Sort of a pay as you go, not all up front. Cons: 1) While the quality of the work is 1st rate, they can take a long time to finish a job. If you have a deadline, you must really make it clear that the deadline must be met. We have received many compliments on the work that was done, and at least one friend has contracted with Citadel to do the same job for them.

I got their name from Angie's List. The thing that I liked about them was they were straight up with where they purchased materials and I had gone with the fellow and pick out what I wanted. He paid for the door and did the installation and charged me what he said he was going to charge.

HE IS AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. I HAVE USED HIM IN THE PAST. HE DOES A VERY GOOD AND PROFESSIONAL JOB. WHEN HE SETS A TIME TO ARRIVE, HE IS ALWAYS ON TIME. I HAVE RECOMMEND HIM TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
