Like the previous review, this project was done years ago (11/17/11). Some people do not wish to post a review for a variety of reasons and we understand. We also understand that AL's constant hounding of subscribers to leave reviews when they prefer not to post them results in poor and incomplete reviews like this. AL needs to review their policy on forcing subscribers to post reviews if they prefer not to post them

No work was performed.
Description of Work: I was having a power fluctuation issue at my house. I chose this company from Angie's list due to their high ratings. I spoke with a very nice gentleman over the phone and explained my electrical problem. He very politely stopped me and told me that the problem I was describing could very well be an issue with the cable running to my house which would be my power companies responsibility. Per his suggestion I contacted my power supplier and lo and behold the issue was with their line. I thought it was fantastic that he would offer this advice rather than take advantage of making a few extra dollars by sending a service technician to my house. So even though I did not have any work done with this company they have earned my trust and gained my respect. If in the future I do have an electrical problem in my house C.E.T. will be my first call.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal with Certified Electrical Technologies back in April of this year. We were looking to install a couple of additional outlets and possibly have some fixtures checked out for wiring shorts. We contacted them to schedule an appointment and the conversation left us uneasy about Certified's willingness to do the job. It's possible we were weren't clear about what the work we wanted performed, but there was a distinct communication breakdown. The person we spoke to seemed more interested in going over the fine print of the offer and delineating what they could NOT do, rather than listening to our explanation of the job. Basically, they came off like they didn't want the business and we were fine to oblige them by going with another provider.

No disagreement from us on this review. We are very detailed about what the subscriber can expect when purchasing a Big Deal from AL. We want to make sure there are no misunderstanding since many people (see the next review) feel that the Big Deals are a poor value. We would rather clear up any misunderstandings prior to the appointment and offer a full refund than to have the customer unhappy with the service. As mentioned many times, we are no longer participating in the Big Deals due to the number of complaints that we receive (not about our service) but rather the deal itself.

We also did a complimentary 10 Point Safety Check The project was scheduled 2 days from the time the appointment was made and the tech arrived during the appointment window of 10-2.

Description of Work: This was an Angies's list for two hours of electrical service work. We wanted to accomplish two things: Get an estimate for running a 50 amp plug and; determine why a stair light was going on and off. Number two was fixed in about five minutes. The verbal estimate however was given between $300 and $1000. Not much help here. The electrician was very friendly and came right on time. My believe of two hours of work was something different than I recieveved. I would likely use this company again but am not too high on purchasing work by the hour through Angie again.
