Certified Electrical Technologies

I bought a CET deal on Angie's List for an hour of work. The gentleman who performed the work did an excellent job, finishing everything within the allotted time. I had a good experience, and would hire CET again.

We are building an extended master closet and needed two new lights added in the space, connected to the existing switch and single light already in place. I purchased the Angie's List Deal for two hours of electrical work by Certified Electrical for $125. Scheduling was about a week out, so I scheduled for Monday between 10-2, received a 30-minutes-out phone call at 10:30 and the tech arrived by 11. I provided the new lighting and access to the attic, flipped the breaker, and off he went. An hour and 40 minutes later he asked me to turn the breaker back on, and I had two new working closet lights! I then told him about the issue I was having in our laundry room where the light wouldn't come on, and he warned me that if he went over the two hours from the Angie's List deal he would have to charge me. I told him it was no problem, but he ended up not needing it! After checking the socket and then the switch, he identified the issue as a faulty switch and got a new one from the truck. If I call it a 10-minute problem I'd be exaggerating! I paid him for the materials he used (an additional $23) and he was done! The tech was very professional, quick, and clear about charges. He also kept the dust and debris to a minimum by using a dropcloth (we have blown insulation in the attic) and also put minimal holes in the wall to run the new wiring. Overall, excellent experience with Certified Electrical - I would definitely recommend them!

Our technician, Eric, did a fantastic job. He arrived on schedule, was polite and professional. Upon arrival, we walked the job, he asked questions to understand the requirements and then went straight to work. We are very pleased with the work performed.

I can't believe how much work Eric did in 2 hours! This probably saved me a weekend's worth of work.He could have done even more but I ran out of materials and to do's.Eric and Certified were prompt and professional.No hesitation to call them again for future work.

I emailed CET and received a call back the next day. They were able to schedule an appointment for the same week, but due to complications on my end, I had to reschedule the appointment twice. They were very accommodating. I believe the electrician's name was Eric. Even though the job seemed simple, he asked a lot of questions that I hadn't considered, such as exactly how I wanted the switch and light wired (the new fan came with a night light that required separate wiring, which I hadn't realized), and the precise height of the GFCI outlet. The house is over 60 years old and therefore has some peculiarities, which he encountered a few times. He made sure to point everything out and ask me how I wanted him to proceed. I appreciated being informed. Overall, great work and reasonably priced. I'll use them again.

I bought an Angie's Deal for 2 hours of electrical work for $99.00 from Certified Electrical. Once I had finally found a time for them to come out, it was great. Dan was so kind and professional and explained everything. He fixed all the "mistakes" that had been left behind by a terrible electrician "friend" of my ex-husbands a few years ago. He worked so fast that he was able to fix my ceiling fan and change out an old 3 prong 220 volt outlet to a regular one with the time that remained. They will definitely be my electricians from now on. I was very satisfied!

It was fantastic. They are one of the best companies out there. They were the best deal I have ever gotten. They did more work in 2 hours than I could have ever imagined. Certified electrical technologies was just topnotch.

Scheduling was easy. They confirmed by post card ahead of time. The electrician was punctual and very professional. He did excellent work.

Eric called 30 minutes before he was supposed to arrive and was right on time. He came in and finished the job in 2.5 hours so I only had to pay an additional $45 for 30 minutes of service and $30 for a new box for the wall that was suitable for the ceiling fan to be put in. I asked him if I could help put the ceiling fan together and he let me, to cut down on time. I was really impressed with how professional and how nice he was. I knew that there would have to be cuts made in the sheetrock because my dad had looked at this prior to the electric company and said there was no other way. Eric looked at every possible angle for a solution not to cut into the walls. We realized that it was necessary and he cut very small pieces and saved them for when I had my patchwork done. The job was so well done and I couldn't have had a better experience. I am actually calling them again to have the electric in my living room replaced so I can have a ceiling fan put on the first floor as well. I would recommend them in a heartbeat, and already have to a couple of friends. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience.

It was kind of difficult to change to bulb in the lamp but they took care of it for me. I had a good experience with them and I would use them again if I needed.

Great work. On time, cleaned up after work and honest about time estimates. Would highly recommend their services to anyone.

It all went exceedingly well, and I was very happy with the work and with the technician who performed the tasks!! Communication was good all along, with dates and times confirmed, a punctual arrival the morning agreed upon, and a friendly willingness to take on some rather unpleasant and uncomfortable tasks. I was very happy with the entire experience. I had purchased a Big Deal, and the job went longer than the allocated time. I wrote a check for the difference and received an unexpected refund from the company when they determined that I had been charged a bit too much. ( I would never have noticed...and did not feel as if I had been overcharged) I would not hesitate for an instant to use the company again, and am happy to recommend them without hesitation.

The electrician was on time, professional, explained what he was going to do and asked the right questions. Everything looks great. He did a wonderful job, I will use them again!

When I first called to make the appointment, I was a little skeptical because Gary told me that no one ever gets away with 2 hours of electrical work and that it would cost $45.00 per half hour after the two hours were up. Enter Phil the electrician. My mom was at home waiting for him and he started right in and completed every single item on our list with no problem. Once he finished the first job, he checked it off and moved on to the next. I was worried about the two bedroom outlets because they hadn't worked in years, but Phil got them going. My mom described him as very knowledgeable about his job and very friendly. I would use this company again.

He was here Friday and I thought he took a while to install it but he did a good job. I thought the price was a little to high I felt that I may have been able to find the same job a bit cheaper. I do give him an A rating and I would use him again.

We had an Angie's List coupon for the work. They were really easy to schedule, came when they said they would, and fixed what we asked them to fix. They worked hard and were persistent in figuring out what was wrong. We later engaged them for further exterior lighting work, and will use them again if we have electrical work to be done.

So now I find myself in March 2012 needing Certified Electrical Technologies help again. It was Deja Vu all over again. We had a pleasant phone communication, with helpful consideration on their end, and an appointment was made. Once again, a courteous and professional technician showed up on time, quickly performed his quality work and was gone. His trouble shooting found a defective GFI unit which he promptly replaced. Once more I was duly impressed but was blown away a week later when the company sent me a thank you note along with a $20.00 off coupon for my next project with them. I now look at them as the "APPLE"corporation of electrical services. They are truly different!

Certified sent a team member for the job quote. He was able to evaluate the work and understood our goals. Certified provided quotes for the project we needed and were able to schedule us quickly when we asked to move forward. I emailed many times with various questions about the quote and scheduling the work. There responses were quick, friendly and informative. The work quality was impressive. The the circuit panel is laid out and labeled in a helpful way, and the cables on the outside of the house are placed in a way that they blend in with the house as much as possible. It was a pleasure to have the Certified Electric Technologies team in our home for our extended electrical project.

It went fine. I didn’t have any dislikes. They were punctual and personable. They had a good knowledge of electrical systems and they were very informative.

Overall it went pretty well. We were disappointed that he couldn't fix the bathroom light, but we somewhat understood the complications involving such old wiring as our 100 year-old house has in it. He did a great job fixing the kitchen overhead light and replacing the dimmer switch. The new switch cost only $3 and he accepted cash for it. His recommendations for upgrading our home's electrical outlets and lighting were discouraging in the amount of expense he predicted and he told us that our basement ceilings and some other areas would probably need to be removed to address the re-wiring, which other persons who know something about electricity think might not be necessary. We do have other, lesser jobs that CET might help us with in future. We were overall satisfied with them.

They are very clean and honest. They are professional and do a great job.
